Meet Dr. Natalie Harvey, Psyd, Lpc

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Dr. Natalie Harvey, Psyd, Lpc a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Dr. Natalie, so great to have you with us and we want to jump right into a really important question. In recent years, it’s become so clear that we’re living through a time where so many folks are lacking self-confidence and self-esteem. So, we’d love to hear about your journey and how you developed your self-confidence and self-esteem.

It wasn’t until after a really tough breakup that I had a moment of clarity—I realized that I genuinely didn’t like myself, and that was a hard truth to face. I’d been so focused on the relationship, trying to find my worth through someone else, that when it ended, I was left with nothing but this feeling of emptiness. It was a wake-up call because I knew deep down that something had to change; I didn’t want to feel like this forever.

So, I made a promise to myself. I decided that I was going to commit to loving who I was, even though I didn’t feel it yet. Every day, I started with affirmations, repeating to myself things like “I am enough,” “I am worthy,” and “I deserve love.” It felt strange at first, but I knew that if I kept going, I could shift the way I saw myself. Alongside this, I started meditating, which helped me clear my mind and connect with my inner self. It gave me a sense of peace I hadn’t felt before. And then there was EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques). It became my go-to whenever those old, negative thoughts crept back in, allowing me to release the doubts and fears that held me back.

Slowly but surely, my self-esteem grew. It wasn’t an overnight change, but I stayed committed. I told myself that there was no room for self-hate anymore—only love. Over time, I built my confidence piece by piece, and that’s when I realized that I didn’t need anyone else to define my worth. It was the most freeing and empowering journey I’ve ever taken.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?

I am a therapist, private practice owner, and content creator on Instagram, where I focus on empowering women to rediscover their self-worth and break down limiting belief systems that hold them back. My passion lies in helping women recognize their inherent value and power, especially those who’ve experienced trauma or feel stuck in old patterns of thinking. I create content that promotes self-worth, healing, and growth, guiding women to realize that they are capable of far more than they’ve ever imagined.

What makes my work special is seeing the transformations that happen when women start believing in themselves again. I love helping them unlearn the negative narratives they’ve carried and replace them with affirming truths. I’m constantly sharing tools and strategies for personal growth, self-love, and resilience, all with the goal of helping women rise above their past experiences and step into their true power. There’s always something new I’m bringing to the platform, whether it’s fresh content, workshops, or collaborations – all designed to help women elevate their lives and rewrite their stories.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

Determination Spirit- A made up mind
Faith in something bigger than myself
Inspiration for something more
When I realized that no one possessed a quality I didn’t have within myself, everything changed. It’s easy to fall into the trap of comparison, but once I stopped doing that, I was able to shift my energy into developing my own unique strengths. My advice for those starting out is to remember that you already have what it takes. Focus on nurturing your growth, commit to your path, and celebrate your progress without comparing it to others. It’s in this mindset that true self-development flourishes.

Tell us what your ideal client would be like?

My ideal client is a woman who feels a deep inner calling for more and is ready to be empowered, break free from limitations, and truly embrace her self-worth. She’s someone who knows deep down that she’s destined for something greater and is ready to do the work to unlock her full potential.
