Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Dr. Natasha Ramsey. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi Dr. Natasha, appreciate you sitting with us today to share your wisdom with our readers. So, let’s start with resilience – where do you get your resilience from?
I believe that resilience often finds its roots in the unseen corners of your journey, sprouting from the seeds of your experiences, hardships, and triumphs alike. It’s woven into the tapestry of your life, nurtured by your unwavering spirit, and sculpted by your determination to rise despite the storms. You embody resilience because you’ve dared to embrace challenges as stepping stones, transforming setbacks into platforms for growth and resilience into a beacon that guides your path forward.
Through the storms of life, I’ve weathered abuse, neglect, heartache, and trauma. Yet, in the depths of these trials, I’ve discovered a remarkable strength within. I made a choice – to not be defined by my past but to embrace it as a chapter of growth. I’ve turned my pain into purpose, channeling my journey towards healing and becoming a beacon of hope for others navigating their own path to recovery. My story isn’t just about survival; it’s about resilience, empowerment, and the transformative power of choosing to rise beyond adversity.
Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
In my practice, I offer a compassionate hand and the latest in virtual psychotherapy, tailored to guide my clients through their unique healing journey from the depths of trauma’s impact. Specializing in trauma and its related neurological disorders, including Functional Neurological Disorders (FND), Conversion Disorder, and Pseudo-Non-Epileptic-Disorder (PNES), I walk alongside individuals on their journey to reclaiming their lives.
Beyond the therapy room, I’m penning a memoir, weaving together experiences and wisdom, intending to offer solace and understanding to those seeking their own resilience. Moreover, I’m on the verge of launching purposeful products meticulously crafted to aid individuals in embracing their healing journey. It’s not just a career; it’s a heartfelt commitment to empowering others in finding strength, reclaiming control, and embracing the transformative journey towards healing.
If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
In the journey of healing from trauma, three qualities have guided my path: resilience, courage, and a steadfast commitment to self-discovery all leading to being able to do brave things.
Resilience became my unwavering companion, the strength within me that refused to yield to the weight of adversity. It was the beacon guiding me through the darkest of nights, reminding me of my inherent capacity to rise, dust off the ashes, and forge ahead.
Courage emerged as my armor, allowing me to confront the shadows of my past with unflinching determination. It empowered me to face the pain, to unravel the knots of anguish, and to embrace vulnerability as a catalyst for growth.
Above all, my commitment to self-discovery became the compass guiding my journey. It entailed a relentless pursuit of understanding, self-compassion, and acceptance. Through this commitment, I unearthed the profound strength within, discovering that healing isn’t just a destination but an ongoing, brave exploration of the self. These three pillars—resilience, courage, and self-discovery—became the keystones of my transformative journey toward healing and allowed me to do brave things.
Tell us what your ideal client would be like?
My ideal client is someone seeking not just healing but a transformation, an individual ready to embark on a courageous journey to confront their trauma, eager to unravel the knots that bind them and find resilience in the face of adversity. This person might be seeking guidance, understanding, and a compassionate ally to navigate the intricate path of their trauma, someone willing to embrace vulnerability as a pathway to growth and empowerment.
