Meet Dr. Paulette Harper

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Dr. Paulette Harper. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Dr. Paulette below.

Dr. Paulette , thank you so much for joining us today. Let’s jump right into something we’re really interested in hearing about from you – being the only one in the room. So many of us find ourselves as the only woman in the room, the only immigrant or the only artist in the room, etc. Can you talk to us about how you have learned to be effective and successful in situations where you are the only one in the room like you?

There have been many seasons when I found myself as the only one in the room — the only woman, the only person of color, the only voice carrying a Kingdom perspective in a space that wasn’t built to include it. But I learned early on that my difference wasn’t a disadvantage — it was divine strategy.
I had to learn this on a deeper level when God sent me to a church where I didn’t look like the people I was called to serve. It stretched me, challenged me, and reminded me that obedience to God’s assignment will often take you into unfamiliar spaces. But when you know who you are and Who sent you, you don’t shrink — you shine.
I realized that God doesn’t always send you where you’re comfortable; He sends you where you’re called. When God positions you in a room, He’s not asking you to blend in — He’s asking you to bring transformation. My presence in those spaces became representation, influence, and a bridge for others who would come after me. Effectiveness in those moments comes from walking in purpose, not preference.
I show up with boldness — not because I fit in, but because I’m grounded in the One who sent me. Even when I’m the only one, I know I’m never alone. God is always in the room with me, and that makes all the difference.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
What I Do & Why It Matters

I’m Dr. Paulette Harper — a 23-time best-selling author, executive book mentor, and founder of Harper Media Global Impact and BuildHer Kingdom Women Ministries. I empower faith-driven women to write, publish, and monetize their God-given stories so they can expand their influence, impact, and income.
My work bridges both ministry and marketplace — helping women heal through writing while building legacy through authorship. What excites me most is watching transformation happen in real time. There’s something powerful about seeing a woman go from, “I don’t think my story matters,” to holding her published book in her hands — knowing that her obedience is now healing others.
That’s the heartbeat behind everything I do: using words as tools for deliverance, empowerment, and elevation. Through my anthologies and mentorship programs, I’ve coached others to become best-selling authors and Kingdom voices in their industries. My brand is built on excellence, faith, and the belief that every story carries a divine assignment.
Right now, I’m leading a powerful anthology movement — When She Finally Let Go: Real Stories. Real Breakthrough. Real Change. This project gives women a platform to share their testimonies of healing, surrender, and transformation.
I’m also preparing for The Reset Encounter 2026 — a luxury, faith-based conference designed to help women reset their lives, rediscover purpose, and encounter God in a transformative way.
At the core, my mission is simple: to help women build — books, brands, and Kingdom legacies that will outlive them.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

Looking back, three qualities have been most impactful in my journey: faith, resilience, and discernment.
Faith taught me to move even when I couldn’t see the full picture. Every major breakthrough in my life and business came from saying “yes” to God before I had the details. I had to trust that obedience would open doors that strategy alone could not. For anyone just starting out, faith is your foundation. Don’t wait for everything to make sense — start moving, and clarity will meet you in motion.

Resilience kept me anchored when things didn’t go as planned. Whether facing rejection, reinvention, or seasons of waiting, I learned that what feels like a delay is often divine preparation. Keep showing up, even when it’s hard. Every challenge is building your endurance for where God is taking you next.

Discernment has been my greatest leadership skill. It’s not enough to have vision — you must also know who to align with, when to move, and what to release. Discernment sharpens your focus and protects your purpose. The best way to develop it is through prayer, reflection, and staying sensitive to God’s voice.

My advice? Build your foundation on faith, fortify it with resilience, and fine-tune it through discernment. When you master those three, you’ll be able to navigate any room, season, or calling with confidence and grace.

How can folks who want to work with you connect?

Absolutely — collaboration is at the heart of everything I do. I believe Kingdom work was never meant to be done alone.
I’m always looking to partner with faith-based leaders, coaches, authors, speakers, and visionaries who are passionate about empowering women, building legacy, and using their gifts to impact the world. Whether through anthology collaborations, live events, or speaking opportunities, I love creating spaces where women can be seen, heard, and celebrated — and where their stories can create lasting change.
I’m especially drawn to those who value excellence, integrity, and purpose, and who understand that collaboration is not competition — it’s Kingdom multiplication.
If you’re reading this and feel a divine nudge to connect, I’d love to hear from you. You can visit www.pauletteharper.com or connect with me on Instagram @dr.harperpaulette to explore ways we can build together.
