Meet Dr. Shirley Clark

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Dr. Shirley Clark a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Dr. Shirley, thank you so much for joining us and offering your lessons and wisdom for our readers. One of the things we most admire about you is your generosity and so we’d love if you could talk to us about where you think your generosity comes from.

My generosity was birthed from struggle. I grew up in lack—financially, emotionally, and spiritually—and I know what it feels like to have potential but no one to open a door. As I transformed my own life from debt to abundance, I made a vow: when I crossed over, I would reach back. My generosity comes from a deep well of gratitude. Every seed I sow, whether through mentoring, scholarships, or service, is my way of saying, “I remember.” I remember the pain, the prayers, and the people who poured into me when I had nothing to give. That memory fuels my mission to help others rise.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?

I am a global wealth coach, author, philanthropist, and CEO of a consulting firm that empowers faith-driven women to build, scale, and sustain six- and seven-figure businesses. My journey began in poverty and debt, but through divine guidance and relentless self-education, I transformed my life—and now, I help others do the same. What excites me most is seeing women awaken to their worth, walk in purpose, and create legacy wealth. My brand, Rich Mind Rich Life, is more than a slogan—it’s a movement rooted in faith, strategy, and generational impact.
Currently, I’m leading a global initiative to empower women who’ve suffered in silence—offering scholarships, mentorship, coaching, and spiritual empowerment. I also recently launched the Pray & Grow Richer YouTube channel, where I teach wealth principles through the lens of faith. For me, success is not just about income—it’s about impact.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

Looking back, the three most impactful qualities on my journey were faith, resilience, and a commitment to lifelong learning. Faith kept me grounded when nothing around me looked promising. Resilience helped me rise after every setback. And embracing continuous learning turned my pain into purpose and my knowledge into wealth.

For those just starting, I encourage you to first build your faith—because mindset and belief are everything. Second, learn to bounce back quickly; obstacles are part of the process, not a sign to quit. And third, invest in yourself. Read, take courses, seek mentors. The more you grow, the more you’ll have to give—and the quicker you’ll move from survival to success.

Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?

We’re actively seeking purpose-driven women who are ready to break free from financial lack, step into entrepreneurship, or upscale their current business with bold faith and strategy. In addition, we’re looking to collaborate with visionary leaders—those who oversee churches, ministries, women’s groups, or organizations—who want to equip their tribe with powerful tools to become financially solvent and spiritually aligned.

Our signature 90-Day Mastermind Wealth Challenge is designed to transform lives through our proven Soakingpreneur wealth creation model—blending faith, financial literacy, and marketplace excellence. If you’re a woman with a desire for more, or a leader who wants to see your community thrive, we’d love to connect.
