Meet Dr Shivi

We were lucky to catch up with Dr Shivi recently and have shared our conversation below.

Dr , so great to have you on the platform and excited to have you share your wisdom with our community today. Communication skills often play a powerful role in our ability to be effective and so we’d love to hear about how you developed your communication skills.

Earlier, I couldn’t speak properly and I was always scared to perform in front of people I used to hesitate a lot. Studying dentistry changed that for me. I pushed myself to take part in lectures, presentations, and conferences, and slowly I became more confident and clear in my communication. Then in 2018, when I started creating content on Instagram, I trained myself even more. That journey taught me how to speak to larger audiences, express myself without fear, and communicate in a way that truly connects with people. My communication skills weren’t natural they’re something I built through effort, experience, and consistency.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?

Professionally, I’m in a very exciting phase of my life. I came to the USA as an international student and completed my master’s in healthcare, but at the same time, I’ve always been deeply connected to my creative side. Recently, I restarted my singing classes and launched my own singing and dancing channel. These are things I loved since childhood, and now I’m finally giving them the space and dedication they deserve.

My Instagram page, shivispheres, represents exactly who I am ‘spheres’ because I have multiple talents and passions, and I want to showcase all of them without limiting myself to one box. Whether it’s content creation, performing arts, or storytelling, I love expressing myself through different mediums.

I’m also planning to start my own podcast soon. My vision is to promote business owners, creators, and people who are genuinely doing good for society. I want to use my platform to highlight inspiring journeys, share meaningful conversations, and create a space where talent and impact are celebrated.

Overall, my brand is all about authenticity, creativity, and giving back combining my healthcare background, my artistic journey, and my desire to uplift others.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

Looking back, three qualities have shaped my entire journey.
First is resilience I never stopped fighting. Even when things were tough, even when I felt scared or unsure, I pushed myself. I truly believe you have to be a fighter. Be a lion. Life will test you, but you must roar louder than your fears.

Second is consistency. Nothing in my life happened overnight. Whether it was studying healthcare, improving my communication skills, or building my creative platforms, I had to show up every single day. Little efforts, repeated over time, have the biggest impact.

And third is self-belief. There were moments when I doubted myself, when I couldn’t speak properly, when stage fear held me back. But the moment I started believing in my potential, everything changed. Confidence isn’t something you’re born with it’s something you train, like a muscle.

For anyone early in their journey, my advice is:

Don’t quit. No matter who says what, keep moving.

Be fearless. Act even when you’re scared courage comes after action.

Invest in yourself. Take classes, learn new skills, and surround yourself with people who lift you up.

Stay focused. You don’t need to be perfect, you just need to be persistent.

If you keep fighting, keep learning, and keep believing, your journey will transform in ways you never imagined.

What is the number one obstacle or challenge you are currently facing and what are you doing to try to resolve or overcome this challenge?

The biggest obstacle I’ve faced and still face at times is walking this journey alone. I never had support in the traditional sense. Even when I came to the USA, I had no godfather, no husband, no family backing me up. It was just me, my dreams, and a completely new world to navigate.

But what kept me going was my faith. I truly believe God has always been with me, and my good karma has protected me. Along the way, some of my closed ones became my support system. They encouraged me, believed in me, and stood by me in moments when I felt the weakest.

To overcome this challenge, I focus on building myself every day emotionally, spiritually, and professionally. I keep reminding myself that strength doesn’t come from having people around you; it comes from trusting your own path and the divine timing behind it. Today, I may still be doing everything on my own, but I am not lonely anymore I’m empowered.
