Meet Dr. Tiesha Gresham

We were lucky to catch up with Dr. Tiesha Gresham recently and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Dr. Tiesha , appreciate you sitting with us today to share your wisdom with our readers. So, let’s start with resilience – where do you get your resilience from?
Where do I begin? As I began my journey into adulthood, I experienced so many situations and circumstances that sucker punched me and knocked me down. However, I learned that being down, does not mean being out. So no matter what I faced in my life, because of my faith I have been able to get back up again. I believe that trials and tribulations are only avenues to growth and success. My resilience has been built on my ability to take every blow as an opportunity to grow and not as a reason to quit.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
My name is Dr. Tiesha Gresham, a Tuscaloosa native, a wife, a mother of 3, a Gigi of 1, #1 best selling author, coach, nurse of 23 years, educator, and motivator who desires to help women SHOW UP in every aspect of their lives.

I am the Founder & CEO of LyfeLines Certification And Staffing, LLC, a Post Secondary School in Birmingham, Alabama specializing in Nursing Assistant Training, Phlebotomy Training (Hybrid Classes), CNA Refresher Training, and Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification for Medical and Non Medical individuals or companies with mobile services available. LyfeLines is also an approved Prometric Testing Facility for the NNAPP Exam (State Exam for Nursing Assistants).

In 2019, LyfeLines was established and I worked it alongside my fulltime job as an RN. However, in the midst of the pandemic in 2020, the Lord instructed me to walk away from my fulltime job and be a nursepreneur fulltime. This journey has been one of the most challenging but also one of the most rewarding. My love and passion for nursing and teaching has afforded me the opportunity to impact lives more than I could have ever imagined. The joy that I get from seeing someone finish what they started years ago, change directions because life has thrown them a curve ball, take the next step to begin a career, and do what others never thought they could is priceless. My classes are more than just classes and by the end of every session, we have become family! In addition to the knowledge and skills they need to be EXCELLENT CNAs, they get life skills and mentorship to help them to be the best versions of themselves. We will be adding some additional programs in the new year so stay tuned.

I am the CEO of Gresham Coaching & Consulting and as a result of the many requests we have received, we will be offering services in the new year to assist individuals with starting their own post secondary school.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
I would have to say the three qualities that were the most impactful on my journey were faith, perseverance, and resilience. My advice would be DO NOT QUIT! There will be moments when you feel as if you have no idea what you’re doing, moments when you are faced with closed doors, moments when you know people are waiting for you to fail, moments when you’re exhausted and just don’t believe you have what it takes, but through it all, you must remember that God has given you a helper!

I have learned to not only trust that God has a plan for my life, but to also trust the way He desires to carry it out! Lastly, always remain teachable and be willing to be comfortable being uncomfortable.

I would love to partner or collaborate with Long Term Care facilities, Assisted Living facilities, Middle and High Schools, and any organizations that will assist individuals with obtaining a certification to improve their quality of life, obtain skills, and job readiness.
