We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Dr. Tina J Ramsay a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Dr. Tina J, we’re so appreciative of you taking the time to share your nuggets of wisdom with our community. One of the topics we think is most important for folks looking to level up their lives is building up their self-confidence and self-esteem. Can you share how you developed your confidence?
I developed my confidence and self-esteem through a very intentional and deeply personal journey. It started with recognizing that my worth doesn’t come from titles, achievements, or the opinions of others—it comes from God. Once I embraced that truth, I began to see myself differently. I stopped measuring myself by what I lacked and started valuing the gifts, wisdom, and experiences God placed in me.
I also developed my confidence by facing challenges head-on instead of shrinking back. Every setback became a lesson, every “no” became redirection, and every obstacle became an opportunity to grow. Through years of serving others—helping parents homeschool their children, guiding entrepreneurs from ideas to podcasts and TV shows—I witnessed firsthand the impact of my calling. Seeing lives change helped strengthen how I saw myself.
But development is not a one-time event; it’s a continual process. I practiced speaking life over myself, setting healthy boundaries, celebrating small wins, and allowing myself to evolve. I became intentional about who I allowed into my space, what I consumed, and how I showed up.
And even now, confidence and self-esteem are things I continue to work on every single day. I make sure God remains my focal point, because when my identity stays anchored in Him, I can walk boldly, serve purposefully, and grow continually.
Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
At the heart of everything I do is CTR Homeschooling, a platform I created to support parents—especially those raising neurodivergent learners—with clarity, confidence, and community. What began as a way to help my own family has grown into a trusted educational resource that reaches families around the world. We provide curriculum, tools, training, and a safe space where parents can feel empowered rather than overwhelmed. What excites me most is seeing families transform as they realize they can homeschool successfully, and that they don’t have to do it alone.
Alongside that work, I’m also the CEO of CTR Media Network, an award-winning global podcast and TV distribution platform that helps entrepreneurs, educators, and creatives turn their message into media and reach millions of households. What makes CTR Media Network special is that we’re not just a platform—we’re a community. We take everyday voices and give them extraordinary visibility on Roku TV, Amazon Fire TV, Apple TV, Android, iOS, and more. We serve people with stories, solutions, and missions that deserve to be heard.
Both brands reflect two sides of who I am: one fulfills my passion for education and family support, and the other fuels my mission of helping people amplify their voice, monetize their gifts, and build legacy through media. Together, CTR Homeschooling and CTR Media Network create a full ecosystem where families are supported, creators are elevated, and communities are strengthened.
Right now, we’re expanding in some exciting ways. CTR Homeschooling is growing its curriculum line, launching additional Bible-based learning resources, and preparing new digital offerings for families. CTR Media Network is entering its next season with new shows, live events, and expanded opportunities for creators to partner with us and get their content onto major platforms. We’re also continuing to build out our educational directory and community networks to better serve families, entrepreneurs, and content creators looking for tools, visibility, and support.
At the core of both brands is a simple mission: help people grow, help people be seen, and help people succeed. Whether it’s guiding a parent through homeschooling or helping a creator launch their show to the world, I’m committed to empowering others to walk confidently in the purpose God placed inside them.
If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Looking back, there are three qualities and areas of knowledge that have made the biggest impact on my journey with both CTR Homeschooling and CTR Media Network:
⸻
1. Faith-Centered Resilience
My ability to keep going—no matter the challenge—has been one of my strongest assets. Whether I was supporting families through CTR Homeschooling or building CTR Media Network from the ground up, I had to learn how to trust God’s direction even when the path wasn’t clear.
Advice:
Build a habit of grounding yourself daily. Pray, reflect, and remind yourself why you started. Resilience grows when you’re anchored in purpose, not public opinion. Start with small goals, celebrate tiny wins, and let every setback become a lesson that strengthens you.
⸻
2. Communication & Relationship-Building
Everything I do revolves around communication—educating families, training parents, teaching entrepreneurs, and helping creators share their message on TV and podcast platforms. Learning how to speak clearly, listen deeply, and build genuine connections opened doors I didn’t even know existed.
Advice:
For anyone early in their journey:
• Practice communicating with confidence, even if your voice shakes at first.
• Surround yourself with communities that uplift and challenge you.
• Learn how to collaborate; relationships can take you farther than talent alone.
⸻
3. Knowledge of Systems, Structure & Strategy
Both homeschooling and media distribution require strong systems. I had to master curriculum design, educational structure, and family support frameworks for CTR Homeschooling. I also had to understand branding, content distribution, and digital media strategy to scale CTR Media Network to millions of households.
Advice:
Take time to learn the basics of how things work. Don’t rush the process.
• Study your industry.
• Invest in coaching and find yourself a mentor.
• Get comfortable with tools and systems that make your work more efficient.
Your creativity and passion matter, but long-term success comes from structure, strategy, and continual learning.
⸻
At the end of the day, these three qualities—resilience, communication, and strategic knowledge—allowed me to grow into the woman and leader I am today. And the beautiful part is that anyone can develop them. Start where you are, stay consistent, and let God guide every step of your journey.
How can folks who want to work with you connect?
Yes, absolutely. I am always open to partnering and collaborating with individuals and organizations whose mission aligns with uplifting families, amplifying voices, and building strong, purpose-driven communities.
On the CTR Homeschooling side, I’m looking to collaborate with educators, curriculum developers, therapists, child development specialists, speakers, and brands that support neurodivergent learners, family education, and holistic homeschooling. Anyone who can help families gain clarity, confidence, and access to resources is someone I would love to connect with.
On the CTR Media Network side, I welcome partnerships with podcasters, TV hosts, authors, speakers, creatives, and entrepreneurs who are ready to turn their message into media and expand their reach. We work with people who want to grow their influence, distribute their content on major platforms, and make a positive impact through storytelling and education.
I especially enjoy collaborating with purpose-driven individuals who value integrity, community, faith, and excellence. Whether you’re a brand looking to reach millions of households, an expert wanting to share your knowledge, or a parent-focused organization looking to serve families, we can create something powerful together.
