We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Drae Crenshaw. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Drae below.
Drae, looking forward to learning from your journey. You’ve got an amazing story and before we dive into that, let’s start with an important building block. Where do you get your work ethic from?
My parents, Jean and Paul Crenshaw, were both entrepreneurs, and their dedication to hard work greatly influenced my upbringing. My mother worked as a beautician, while my father held a full-time position at the local hospital during the day and ran his cleaning business at night. After my siblings and I finished school, we would do our homework and then join my mom in helping my dad clean offices. I particularly remember those winter nights, which were challenging for me since I wasn’t fond of the cold. However, those experiences were invaluable, as they instilled a strong work ethic in me that has contributed to my success today. I’m truly grateful for the lessons I learned during that time.
Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
The three key qualities that have significantly shaped my journey are keeping God first, strong work ethic and a willingness to learn. Additionally, I’ve learned the importance of resilience in the face of rejection.
For those just starting out, my advice is straightforward: Be willing to learn what you don’t know and willing to relearn what you do know. never give up. Put in the hard work and reach out to the leaders you admire for mentorship. Take bold steps and don’t let fear hold you back; it can prevent you from reaching your true potential. Remember, don’t be disheartened by rejection—each “no” brings you one step closer to a “yes.”
What was the most impactful thing your parents did for you?
The most significant impact my parents had on me was instilling essential life values from the moment I was born. They laid a strong foundation that helped us understand our identity and purpose, which has made navigating adulthood much smoother.
