Meet Dusty Reed

We were lucky to catch up with Dusty Reed recently and have shared our conversation below.

Dusty, looking forward to learning from your journey. You’ve got an amazing story and before we dive into that, let’s start with an important building block. Where do you get your work ethic from?
I got my work ethic for my business from having no other option than to follow through for my clients! Since I am typically designing for big events, there is a lot of pressure! I work as hard as a I can to produce great product and design for each event. It helps that every event is a little different so we are always keeping things fresh and that makes that excitement for the job more consistant! All in all, my work ethic comes from and for my clients!

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
We are a wedding and event floral design company serving Southern Arizona. Our specialty is creating original and memorable designs for every special experience, whether it is your wedding day or your annual corporate celebration. We love to collaborate with our clients, making your floral visions come to life, from the initial ideas to the forever photos.

For weddings we offer full floral design through out your entire event and our Element Essentials package. We offer Element Essentials for couples who want the Element design & look, but florals are not there #1 wedding priority. They can pick out the exact pieces they need for anyone walking down the aisle, simple decor, etc. and we will drop it off on your big day!

We also offer our custom designs for corporate events or any other special events!

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Three most important qualities for me are consistency, desire to learn and communication.

My advice for anyone wanting to get into the event industry is to keep working at it! Even if each detail doesn’t go your way, push through, find a way to be flexible and you will learn and grow from each mistake and success! Hone in on your communication skills, it will really stand out and make you a very trustworthy vendor.

One of our goals is to help like-minded folks with similar goals connect and so before we go we want to ask if you are looking to partner or collab with others – and if so, what would make the ideal collaborator or partner?
Yes absolutely! I always want to keep my door open to any possibilities. Whether you are a planner or photographer who has a specific design idea or you think you would fit in well with our Element team, I would love to hear from anyone! Shoot me an email, [email protected] or give us a follow on Instagram @elementdesginevents.
