Meet Dzon

We were lucky to catch up with Dzon recently and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Dzon, really happy you were able to join us today and we’re looking forward to sharing your story and insights with our readers. Let’s start with the heart of it all – purpose. How did you find your purpose?

We’ll see I always knew that purpose is the reason why we’re here but the fact that I’m only 21 I have so much more life to live and so much more time to really figure out my true purpose but ever since I was Around nine years old, I always wanted to be a entertainer

Although I never really had true confidence to believe in myself and follow my dreams here, I am now wholeheartedly, stepping into my dreams and trying to build the foundation.

I unfortunately lost my mother at the age of seven so I feel like I was kind of forced to grow up quicker, which really opened my eyes to realized that I’ve been through so much & that there is a reason why I’m here..

To answer the question, my purpose is to entertain with the gift of music. I always find myself being connected and bringing myself & situations back to music. I grew up in a family church in the youth choir. My dad was heavily involved in music so I just feel like thats my purpose and I’m comfortable and I feel meant to be.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?

My actual name is Deon Henry. I’m 21 years old. I was born in Louisville Kentucky in 2003. I didn’t really grow up In the ideal home, I grew up in a single mother household with two siblings. Life was pretty much hard for me emotionally and sometimes physically due to the fact that I lost my mother. She passed away in 2010 and in a lot of cases I feel like that was a blessing and a curse.

I grew up in a family orientated church. All of my mother’s children has been in the youth choir. I always loved music and I love music so much to the point to where I would freestyle sometimes with no beats no pencil and no paper but this was only back in 2017

But by then, I surely didn’t think I would ever be able to make music. Only because of the fact, I was trying to be a YouTuber, I also wanted to be a singer. I just didn’t quite have the voice so that played a very big part in my confidence

As we fast-forward to 2019, I’m in high school now and I meet a friend that happens to be a rapper and she was freestyling and making a song on her phone in class. We had a business class together neither one of us were doing our work so I was just being A class clown, she offered me to rap on the song with her I freestyled On the beat and she instantly told me I can rap.

So every since then, I’ve been songwriting I’m very thankful for the interaction because I’m now following my dreams but fast forward to November 2023 I’ll drop my very first song and now here we are!

Since then, I’ve dropped several singles, a five track EP, gotten DMs from world wide known hip-hop producer Zaytoven, streamed in multiple countries, most of America and over 200,000+ impressions across all social media.

Here lately I dropped my latest single “IMPORTANT” on all platforms important is a single that motivates you and make you want to get up early morning and get your day started and go after all your dreams and everything that you deserve and also your responsibilities.

Recently, I just released The release date for the music video which will be out Wednesday, August 14, 2024 at 5:02 PM Eastern time Only on YouTube @dzon711

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

Even though it’s a short period time now that I’m looking back You pull from so many different situations to overcome or to pour your energy into something.

I told you guys Just the Tip of the iceberg with my life story there still morals and principles being learned within it, like transparency, confidence, and intelligence.

The confidence really helps me and my journey because I force myself to step up to the plate and I’ll make myself know that I can bet on me then the intelligence aspect of it more so comes from the heart what’s the bigger picture behind my lyrics? Lastly, the transparency is what everyone is attracted to because it’s very powerful to be vulnerable relatability is a real thing & listeners will connect

if I had to give you any advice, just try to focus on those three things it’ll help you in the long run. You’ll have a clean slate you will feel free and cleansed. It’s a very hard and tough journey, but it all pays off, try to force yourself to get outside of the box and not be your normal self.

simple things as getting up every day and try to write something even if it’s two words or sentence, study your favorite artist study who inspires you, come up with different concepts and track lists, sketch up some album covers, Listen to beat patterns. Try to come up with your beats. The sky is the limit!

How can folks who want to work with you connect?
