Meet Ebony Ferrell

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Ebony Ferrell. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Ebony below.

Ebony, we’re thrilled to have you sharing your thoughts and lessons with our community. So, for folks who are at a stage in their life or career where they are trying to be more resilient, can you share where you get your resilience from?

My resilience came from me growing up and seeing different situations. That’s what made me into the person I am today. I came from a small town which is Rayle, GA. I didn’t have it easy and I wasn’t as fortunate but I took those lessons and life experiences and looked at the brighter future to accomplish every goal that have. Where you come from really is what makes you or breaks you. I chose to use those life lessons to be a better person and to make more of myself.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?

I own a Full service Salon that provides a variety of services. It’s a comfortable, safe and fun environment where you will feel welcomed, my goal is to make sure that everyone who comes in get the service that they deserve and to make sure that they come back. We offer services such as Sew-Ins, Quick Weaves, Unit Services, Crochet, Feed In Braids, Natural Hair Services, Relaxer, Silk Press, Hair Treatments, Trim, Hair Cuts, Braid Services, Shampoo and many other styles.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

The three qualities that really helped me to accomplish my goal were being consistent, promoting and never giving up. If you have a goal that you would like to accomplish never give up just jeep going and pushing no matter what may come your way just keep going. You can’t put things off, don’t be lazy get up and do what you have to do to make sure that your business is and keep being successful.

Before we go, any advice you can share with people who are feeling overwhelmed?

When I’m overwhelmed I have to calm down and write things down that I need to do and I want to accomplish. Sometimes we have to take time to ourselves away from everything and everyone to get ourselves and our thoughts together. I often write things in a journal to clear my mind and to keep myself together because things can get to you and be overwhelming. People can cloud your judgment so it’s best to clear your thoughts and taketime for yourself.
