Ebony , we are so happy that our community is going to have a chance to learn more about you, your story and hopefully even take in some of the lessons you’ve learned along the way. Let’s start with self-care – what do you do for self-care and has it had any impact on your effectiveness?
When I am feeling down and the world is against me, I always do self care. My form of self care ranges from different routines. I love taking bubble baths at the end of a stressful day where I would focus on my extensive skin care regimen such as trying different body scrubs and face masks. If I’m feeling down during the day, I always go out, get some fresh air and eat some seafood. My self care routines have had a major impact on my effectiveness to bounce back into a happier place because it resets my mind and shifts my energy to a better place.
Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
I am the owner of The Vanity Experience which is a beauty bar based in Jacksonville Beach. My services ranges from makeup artistry, needle-less lip fillers, teeth whitening, body contouring and etc. I’ve always had a passion for making people feel beautiful whether it comes from within or out.
I also own a cosmetics line called Nriched Beauty, where I sell quality cosmetics for a great price.
My main focus is to professionally network and get my businesses out there so that everyone can enjoy the products and services I have to offer.
Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
My top three qualities that have helped me be most impactful on my journey are my personality, time management and willingness to help.
My advice to anyone that is in the early stages of their journey is to always be authentic, approachable and confident.
