We recently connected with Ebony Scott and have shared our conversation below.
Ebony, we’re thrilled to have you on our platform and we think there is so much folks can learn from you and your story. Something that matters deeply to us is living a life and leading a career filled with purpose and so let’s start by chatting about how you found your purpose.
I found my purpose through my down times knowing how it feels to be in uncomfortable situations not knowing what’s going to happen next just having faith that god got you in will see you through and one thing about me is when i feel good I look good so starting my boutique was everything to me because I was able to make women and Young girls feel good in very pretty about themselves and it just made me soo happy to know that when one simple items that make seem soo small can have you feeling yourself the whole day makes me happy
Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
I’m a journalist content creator I blog about celebrity news and latest gossip one thing i love about it is that I can post about anything that I want I’m not obligated to just one subject or obligated to one group of demographic people. I’m a firm believer in reporting about things that certain individuals are paid off not to talk about or just scared to report on I actually like that I keep my blog about blind items that are selective in only known to the insiders of the industry and Hollywood. I always been into music since I was a child my father was ice-t personal bodyguard so being around them in that area in my life had me excited to get into that world of the music industry just to see how hard working they were to see my father in ice t and the gamblo brothers just being themselves while working hard having fun and performing gave me my motivation. At first I wrote songs for independent artists in just music for myself I tried to sing but i didn’t keep up with it and really didn’t find my voice so then I tried to do artist management and social media management I was good at it I loved what I did each artist had their unique personality and had different paths which were great they were different unique in their own ways but as time goes on you learn that in order to grow you have to leave some things behind somethings you can give your all but it will never be enough I kind of gave up that world of the industry decided to take a break until a opportunity came through to become an content creator/ journalist for a celebrity blog site they were popping and the music industry was something that I always had a passion for the love never died just the direction I was going in just wasn’t the right calling for me anymore but I took a leap of faith on doing this journey pray About it I got the job and I learned soo much i will be forever grateful for the opportunity Tiffany gave to me to help her out with giving juicy celebrity tea what even made me know that I would be great at this is because I always would check certain tea and wouldn’t see no other blogs posting about it which would be weird to me or certain lives that celebrities would do and nobody posted about it so knowing that made it perfect I gave my own uniqueness to her blog and gave her certain ideas to make her blog pop due to differences and personal life issues I decided too leave that company and start my own celebrity blog site took what I learned in knew and now not only am I a household name but one of the underground goats
If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
The advice I would give to Someone that’s up in coming into this industry is to leave your personal feelings to the side and report on accurate news you don’t want to report on things that is not true then you’ll be just another taska K you don’t wanna be the the blogger that gets sued you wanna make sure that when you report on these celebrities that no matter what you leave your personal opinions and feelings to the side in you just report on the real news you’ll be fine and don’t ever think nobody watching you people from all over is watching you believe it or not you’ll be surprised at how many people will try in copy your style of reporting and or try to steal your stories and copy it as their own always make sure your logo is on your work and that your the only one giving this type of information out so when it does come out people will know that they seen it on your page first
Before we go, maybe you can tell us a bit about your parents and what you feel was the most impactful thing they did for you?
Leave me alone in this world to be myself growing up in foster care was very tuff for me so doing that without any family or my parents was very hard but it shown my strength it showed my passion and my drive my determination to want better for myself and even when I was at my lowest it showed my gratitude and gratefulness for god’s love and will that no matter what he Carried me through it all I made it through the storm and continue to become stronger and prosperous and a better women I’m thankful for the all the times my parents let me down in stay away because it showed me that I didn’t need them because God made a way for me each in everytime
