Hi EDDIE, thanks for sharing your insights with our community today. Part of your success, no doubt, is due to your work ethic and so we’d love if you could open up about where you got your work ethic from?
My father would leave the house at 7:15am and come home at 7pm every day. He would work on the weekends to make sure we had a roof over our heads. He did this into his late 80’s until the Covid lockdowns basically killed a lot of small businesses. As a result, I’ve prided myself in having multiple careers in real estate & development, other than my passion of DJing & music production.
If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
I have always had the mentally that if you are a good person, good things will come to you. Networking has been a major key as well. I’m pretty social and I have quite an outgoing personality. I like to please people and bring joy into people’s lives. I feel fighting through all of the NO’s is key to success as well. So many doors were slammed in my face, so I had to create the opportunities myself. I would advise anyone that has a dream that they would like to make a reality, the first step is creating the goal. Once you have your eye on that goal, step by step you’ll find a way to reach it. Manifestation is real!!!!
Is there a particular challenge you are currently facing?
Some of the struggles along the way have been self doubt, as my DJ career has spanned over 3 decades, and every couple of years, someone new come to the scene as competition in my community. I have to consistently reinvent myself, to keep current with music that now has an even shorter shelf life than before. At some point, clients stopped calling because they thought I had actually fully retired, even though i’m probably more busy now than I was a couple of years ago.
