Meet Eddie Reyes

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Eddie Reyes a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Eddie, appreciate you sitting with us today to share your wisdom with our readers. So, let’s start with resilience – where do you get your resilience from?

I think my past experiences have determined my resiliency. As a kid, I was surrounded by challenges that forced me to grow up fast and figure things out on my own. Later in life, when I went through my back injury and multiple surgeries, it tested me in a whole new way. Those moments taught me that resiliency is a direct result of three things: humility, hard work, and faith in the face of adversity.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?

in my opinion, Dam Trucks is like a modern day robin hood company. In a time where views have become currency and optics are everything Dam Trucks is able to steal views away from big brands with their unlimited budgets, We take dope small to mid sized businesses and put them in the public eye in real time, but not just in the streets. Our social platforms have been preforming strong too, as we are coming up on 500,000 views in 90 days and across all social media platforms.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

Looking back, the three qualities that have shaped my life the most are resilience, vision, and faith. Faith being the most important, you have to have belief in yourself and a higher power in order to conquer life issues that can seem drowning or depressing. That’s where vision comes in to be able to see opportunity and step into a leadership role in an industry that needs it. It takes vision. If you can remember these things throughout your life whenever you face turmoil, you naturally build resilience, which is the key to having a longstanding anything. As for advice, I’d say never be afraid to fail and always follow your dreams. Stand tall in defeat, and remain humble during the wins.

Awesome, really appreciate you opening up with us today and before we close maybe you can share a book recommendation with us. Has there been a book that’s been impactful in your growth and development?

Once a King, Always a King: The Unmaking of a Latin King by Reymundo Sanchez.
This book changed my mentality at such a important time of my life. Growing up being inspired by gangsters and dealers, this book taught me circumstances don’t dictate your future.
