We were lucky to catch up with Eddie Wiewel recently and have shared our conversation below.
Eddie, we’re so excited for our community to get to know you and learn from your journey and the wisdom you’ve acquired over time. Let’s kick things off with a discussion on self-confidence and self-esteem. How did you develop yours?
Confidence and self-esteem are often times viewed as innate to the individual..
Personally, I don’t believe anyone is “born confident.” While there are certainly dispositions and personalities that might “appear more confident than others,” most times, this doesn’t tell the entire story.
In my case for confidence and self-esteem, no question my successes, failures and personal development routines all have all aided in growing these characteristics within me.
Past achievements such as accolades for sales productivity and successfully building a real estate business definitely have fueled my confidence.
On the other hand, failures such as my divorce at 23 years old have grounded and battle-tested me.
Lastly, my personal development routine includes daily sales/negotiation training, reading 1 book per-month and having systems in place for managing my business have allowed me to move forward confidently.
Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
My business specializes in helping clients acquire, sell and lease residential and commercial real estate in DFW.
The most exciting aspect of my business is the focus on negotiation techniques, tactics and strategy to ensure our clients win at the highest level.
This is something only training can teach and truly creates a competitive advantage for our clients when part of a real estate transaction.
Secondly, utilizing an omni-channel customer experience for our clients.
This means meeting them where they are- whether that be over video call or in-person allowing us to be more efficient in communication while still paying attention to detail.
Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Without question, my business principles have been the most impactful aspect of developing the business and continuing to scale successfully.
– Integrity: Maintaining honesty no matter the result.
– Customer service: Relentlessly looking for ways to maximize customer satisfaction and make our systems more efficient and successful
– Consistency- Showing up daily with a spirit of service and generosity for our clientele.
What has been your biggest area of growth or improvement in the past 12 months?
My biggest improvement and continual area of growth is the digitization of the business.
Utilizing a CRM, website, social media etc. can be a lot to balance- especially in the beginning.
However, it’s been imperative to adopt these platforms along with AI technology to ensure we continue competing at the highest level.
Utilizing these tools to market more-efficiently and streamline customers being able to reach you easily has allowed the generation of several “new lead” streams that can be categorized purely as organic growth.
This is one of the most exciting aspects of business development in my opinion.
