Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Edgar Smith. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Edgar, so many exciting things to discuss, we can’t wait. Thanks for joining us and we appreciate you sharing your wisdom with our readers. So, maybe we can start by discussing optimism and where your optimism comes from?
My optimism is built on loss, struggle, and what many, including myself, thought was failure. I’ve been through the seasons where nothing made sense and I had no resources and no plan. I got to a place where God was all I had and that’s when I understood He was all that I needed. He constantly opened door after door and my faith and optimism were totally strengthened.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
I have a faith-based streetwear brand called Next Level Provision. Each piece is more than just a fashion statement. It’s a message. We create bold, conversation starting apparel that reminds people of the unshakable truth that GOD WILL PROVIDE.
What makes our brand special is its story. It all started in a dark season of my life when I had lost nearly everything. In that place of brokenness, I wrote “God Will Provide” on a sticky note and stuck it to my mirror and it became my lifeline. Over time, it became a poster on my wall. Then a t-shirt. Before I knew it, a movement had begun because every where I went, people wanted to ask or share stories about the message.
We use the raven as our symbol because in 1 Kings 17, God sent an unexpected bird to feed Elijah during a famine. The raven, usually seen as unclean or unwanted, became proof that God provides through unlikely means. That’s what our brand is about: faith, resilience, and provision that doesn’t always look the way you expect.
The best feeling that I get from the brand is when someone sees the message and stops me because they received confirmation or relief from one of our pieces. I also get extremely satisfied watching how our customers light up when they wear our pieces because it’s more than clothing, it’s a testimony or confirmation.
Whether you’re walking through fire or stepping into your purpose, our message stays the same: God Will Provide for you and through you.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
1. Faith
There were moments where logic, resources, and plans failed me. The only thing I had left was belief that God Will Provide. That kind of faith created space for miracles.
Advice: If you’re early in your journey, lean on your faith. Build a routine around God. Read, pray, and surround yourself with people who speak life. Faith isn’t just a feeling, it’s a discipline.
2. Figure out what to do “and” stop doing.
Find out what you should or shouldn’t be doing. What kept me moving was the willingness to figure things out as I went and finding my purpose. Most people never see results because they stop too soon.
Advice: Don’t wait until you “have it all together.” Start with what’s in your hand. Learn as you go. You’ll be surprised how much God can do with a willing heart and a small beginning.
3. Knowing My Message
Once I understood that this brand was less about selling shirts and more about reminding people of God’s faithfulness, I found clarity. That message has opened doors, sparked conversations, and built a community. It’s what keeps people coming back.
Advice: Take time to get clear on your “why.” What’s the deeper reason behind what you’re building? Your message is what turns a product into a purpose.

Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?
Yes. We’re definitely open to partnerships and collaborations. However, we only to collaborate with people that align with purpose.
Next Level Provision is about faith in action. We’re looking to partner with people who are mission-minded. Creatives, storytellers, influencers, artists, stylists, videographers, musicians, photographers and anyone else who feels called to use their gifts to glorify God and reach people in unconventional ways.
We’re especially interested in collaborating with Christian influencers and content creators who want to wear and share messages that inspire real faith and spark conversations. We’re looking for faith-based artists, stylists, and photographers looking to bring powerful visuals to life. We’re also looking for churches, ministries, and nonprofits that want to merge fashion with outreach or service.
We’re not chasing trends. We’re building something eternal. So if you’re passionate about purpose and believe God is calling you to do something bold, disruptive, and Kingdom-driven, let’s talk.
