Meet Eduardo Delacruz

We were lucky to catch up with Eduardo Delacruz recently and have shared our conversation below.

Eduardo, we’re thrilled to have you on our platform and we think there is so much folks can learn from you and your story. Something that matters deeply to us is living a life and leading a career filled with purpose and so let’s start by chatting about how you found your purpose.

At 5am most days, I sip my coffee in the quiet of the house. I dust off the record player and place my mother’s Itzhak Pearlman playing Mozart. The cats are still too sleepy to ask for food. A lone light creeps in through the window. As I sit here, in this quiet hour, I realize that my purpose is about connection—connecting with others, helping them to see their own worth, and using creativity as a bridge between them and the world around them. It’s not just what I do; it’s who I am.
It’s clear to me now that helping others has always been a thread that runs through my life. In high school I was the bridge—the one who connected different groups, who befriended the quietest or most “odd” kid and helped them find their voice. It felt natural, like something I was meant to do.
As a teacher, I feel the same pull. I teach art and soccer but more than that, I feel that my purpose here is to be a positive role model. It’s about offering guidance, showing students what kindness, empathy, and hard work look like in action. It’s about creating an environment where they feel valued and understood, where they can find the confidence to explore who they are.
Art has always been woven into the fabric of my life. It emerges in everything I do. Whether it’s scribbling in meetings, running a marathon, or even in my dreams at night, creativity seems to seep out of me, reminding me of its presence and its power to connect and inspire.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

“Vibrating Rainbow” @eduardodeavid_art I want to create art that shows how beautiful the world is. The most mundane objects and inconsequential figures depicted with such life, vitality and purity. I paint pure colors that vibrate as it constructs figures and objects. The sun hitting a coffee cup or vintage action figure on a messy table. A former student who surprises you by growing 3 feet taller and is now a peer. The sights of Fiesta in San Antonio and good friends offering their likeness so that I can manifest my voice. I paint life as it is.
I thoroughly enjoy helping young people find their voices; artistic and personal. Instagram, X, Patreon, tiktok, shopify are places where my art is displayed. I wish to continue helping people in some form to find their artistic way in life.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

Live your life. Be who you are without exceptions and learn everything about everything. We are only here for such a short period of time. Life is too short to live for others, do what others want us to do or be unaware of how majestic the world truly is. Love yourself, find some great friends on the way and share yourself with the world. Everyone can come up with excuses on why not to do what you dream of doing. But there is no “right time” Just go for it.

Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?

I am always looking for new collaborators and friends. People to explore and share the beauties of life. So If you are a Trekkie, chef, runner, golfer, musician, coffee connoisseur, artist, toy collector, or want a beautiful portrait of someone; please feel free to contact me on Instagram @eduardodavid_art
