Hi Edwin, thank you for being such a positive, uplifting person. We’ve noticed that so many of the successful folks we’ve had the good fortune of connecting with have high levels of optimism and so we’d love to hear about your optimism and where you think it comes from.
My optimism comes from understanding the process of knowing how the universe works. At times life will show you a different side but at the end of it all it things will always work out. In addition keeping a positive mindset no matter what is happening in life will always show you a light at the end of the tunnel. Optimism creates answers, solutions and open new doors. So why get stuck in a negative space when you can push forward in a positive one?
Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
I am the founder of Curl Daddy haircare brand .
Our brand message is to love your hair but most importantly love yourself as we understand that 60% of what you apply to yourself is absorbed into your body. The haircare collection consist of products that are plant-based, free of harsh chemicals and promote scalp health/hair growth.
Curl Daddy exists to solve a problem for curly men & women who have an unhealthy relationship, perspective, or connection with their natural, curly textured hair. It provides a solution and/or a resource for people who want to embrace their natural hair, but don’t know where to start and finally also educate people on the importance of natural hair care and liberating people who are in bondage to going with the “trend” or status quo regarding straightened or chemically treated hair.
Curl Daddy is universal as it is created for both men and women and appealing in design, scent, and usability. Men have the courage to buy it, and women who buy it want to share it with the men in their life.
The Haircare Collection has several restorative & damage preventative products that make the brand useful & valuable for customers with medical conditions which affect hair growth. Curl Daddy is a brand that has potential to be medically recommended or even viewed as a holistic health product.
We just recently launched our Purify Me Scalp Scrub, a head to to experience to detoxify not only your scalp/hair but also your entire body as you can use it as a body scrub as well.
The most exciting part of this journey is seeing how a vision has become a reality and slowly getting recognition in the industry.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
To be honest with you I think 3 qualities that were very impactful in my journey were: 1. Being Bilingual since Spanish is my first language.
2. Becoming a photographer
3. Being able to adapt when things shift in your life
My advice would be to learn a second language or at least be able to defend yourself in another language just in case you have to. Be open-minded to learn a new skill in the creative field. I remember taking a photography class and not knowing if I was ever going to use photography later on. Now here I am with a camera in my hands.
What is the number one obstacle or challenge you are currently facing and what are you doing to try to resolve or overcome this challenge?
One major challenge we are currently facing is introducing the brand to more potential clients and increasing brand awareness. At the moment we are working with more influencers, creating more branded content and working on our next campaign to attract more clients and increase the visibility for the brand.
