Meet Eileen Koff

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Eileen Koff. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Eileen, we’re thrilled to have you on our platform and we think there is so much folks can learn from you and your story. Something that matters deeply to us is living a life and leading a career filled with purpose and so let’s start by chatting about how you found your purpose.

Leaning into natural instincts and abilities as a young child and understanding what made me happiest
playing with friends. At an early age, I found organizing a natural habit that few didn’t understand. My play centered around organizing closets and doll clothes. Using these skills and developing them throughout my life, I was called upon to help others. Finding out there was an industry that recognized my gifting blew me away. At the same time I was strengthening my gifting I began to recognize a greater internal desire to seek out Godly direction. Becoming a Christian then took my gifting and turned it into my God given purpose. God is a God of order and anything that is not of order is not of Him. The world and the enemy of this world has entrapped us to believe success in wrapped up in material possessions. The excess drives only confusion and interferes with relationships. Relationship with others and most importantly our relationship with God.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?

With the abundance of organizing book in the world, I used to wonder why anyone would have a hard time figuring out how to get lives in order. However, after being in the profession for over two decades i have come to the conclution that what we believe dictates what we do. We believe that the next best kitchen applience will make great dinners. So we continue to jam our cabinets with things we rarley use, This mindset only brings great distractions and conflicts within the home.
My God given purpose as a certified professional organizer empowers my clients to

Break free from the false beliefs that keep my clients in bondage over their possessions.
Removing these distractions so that they can begin to hear God’s voice clearly.
A space filled with peace begins to highlight their gifting to that they too can serve others with their talents that they didn’t realize were buried deep within them. In 2023 my Bible study and declutter workbook Get Organized God’s Way was published. It has been a blessing both individually and for those taking a Bible class in their church. At the same time I hosted a weekly video session with Messianic Lamb Network those video can be seen on EileenKoff YouTube or by going to my website at eileenkoffministires.com

My nonprofit called Peace Island Children’s Center PeaceIslandCC.org. I started this in Uganda formally in 2017 and you can learn more by going to the website.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

As stated, my abilities were God given and throughout my growing years, and my skills only sharpened as I grew older seeing the tremendous difference in those lives i helped. in 1998 while watching the Oprah show , she had on a professional organizer named Julie Morganster and she talked about a new profession called professional organizers. it took me 1 minute to call the national organization NAPO and become an early member. Learning more skills directly by taking classes and by going to national conferences only sharpened my skills and confidence that I had a great background to serve a variety of needs. Always connect with others that love and are flourishing in the area you are gifted in. Relationships are key to growth and expertise.

Is there a particular challenge you are currently facing?

My biggest challenge in helping others is when they need to get their lives in order, but are not willing to do so themselves. For example, someone has threatened that they might leave if the home is not better organized.

There are many that want to do this, but are not ready to do so. Commitment and follow through is critical if there is any change to their present lifestyle.
