Meet Eisha Casimir

We were lucky to catch up with Eisha Casimir recently and have shared our conversation below.

Eisha, so great to be with you and I think a lot of folks are going to benefit from hearing your story and lessons and wisdom. Imposter Syndrome is something that we know how words to describe, but it’s something that has held people back forever and so we’re really interested to hear about your story and how you overcame imposter syndrome.

Overcoming imposter syndrome has been a journey. For me, it started with accepting that I belonged in every space l’ve worked hard to enter. I remember when HER’MINE was featured in the New York Post as one of the top 30 fashion shows at Miami Swim Week. At first, I was overwhelmed with excitement. I questioned whether I deserved that recognition but then I reminded myself of the sleepless nights, sacrifices, and vision that brought me there. I’ve learned to get rid of those doubts by focusing on the facts- what l’ve achieved and the positive impact I’m creating.

Surrounding myself with a supportive community also helps. Whether it’s mentors, collaborators, or customers, hearing their belief in my work reinforces my own confidence.

Imposter syndrome still pops up occasionally, but l’ve realized it’s a sign I’m growing. Instead of letting it hold me back, l use it as motivation to keep proving to myself that I belong.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

HER’MINE is my passion project turned thriving business—a swimwear brand that celebrates individuality, confidence, and the art of self-expression. What excites me most is how HER’MINE empowers men and women to feel bold, confident, beautiful and unapologetically themselves. We’re not just creating swimwear; we’re fostering a lifestyle that inspires people to embrace their uniqueness.

One of the proudest moments in my journey was presenting our first fashion show at Miami Swim Week, where HER’MINE was named #4 in the New York Post’s top 30 best fashion shows.
It was surreal to see my vision come to life and resonate with such a wide audience.

As for what’s next, we just celebrated HER’MINE’s 5th anniversary with a special cocktail party, marking a major milestone for the brand. I’m also exploring collaborations and partnerships, like a recent one with PURE Fuel, the official sponsors of the Philadelphia 76ers, to expand our reach and bring the HER’MINE experience to new audiences.

Right now, l’m in an exciting creative space, deeply focused on my next project. I’m working on an upcoming fashion show that will push boundaries and bring fresh energy to the runway.

In addition to the runway, I’m excited to announce a new chapter for HER’MINE with the upcoming launch of our men’s collection. This expansion reflects my goal to offer everyone the opportunity to feel confident and stylish, whether on the beach or by the pool.

Beyond HER’MINE, I’m someone who thrives on creativity and resilience. My journey hasn’t been without challenges, but those experiences have shaped me and inspired the ethos of my brand. I hope to continue building connections through my work while encouraging others to pursue their dreams, no matter how daunting they may seem.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

Looking back, three qualities have been most impactful in my journey: resilience, creativity, and adaptability.

Resilience has been vital, especially in overcoming challenges and setbacks.
Building HER’MINE wasn’t easy-I’ve faced moments of self-doubt and unexpected roadblocks, but staying committed to my vision helped me push through. To anyone starting out, l’d say: embrace the challenges as part of the process. Growth often comes from the hardest lessons.

Creativity has allowed me to set
HER’MINE apart. From designing collections to curating fashion shows, I’ve learned that creativity isn’t just about talent; it’s about allowing yourself to take risks, think outside the box, and trust your instincts. For those developing their creativity, I recommend exploring different inspirations and not being afraid to experiment or fail.

Adaptability has kept me grounded and open to opportunities. The fashion industry-and life in general-changes constantly, and being flexible has helped me pivot when needed. For example, I recently started working on a men’s collection, a new direction for HER’MINE that I hadn’t initially planned but felt inspired to pursue. My advice here is to stay open-minded and embrace change as a chance to grow.

Whether it’s in business, fashion, or my personal life, I believe the combination of these qualities has helped me turn my vision for HER’MINE into a reality. For anyone just starting out, my advice is to focus on progress over perfection. Trust the process, stay curious, and don’t hesitate to take that first bold step.

What do you do when you feel overwhelmed? Any advice or strategies?

When I feel overwhelmed, I make it a priority to step back and take care of myself. As a business owner and creative mind behind HER’MINE, it’s easy to get caught up in the demands of work, but I’ve learned that you can’t pour from an empty cup.

My self-care routine can vary depending on what I need in the moment. Sometimes, it’s a self-care day where I pray, journal, work out, or treat myself to a spa day. Other times, I might book a spontaneous trip to reset or simply allow myself to have a mental health day where I do absolutely nothing. I also find peace and calmness in cooking a hearty meal-it’s a grounding activity that lets me slow down and reconnect with myself.

My advice is to reflect on the last time you truly felt at peace and think about what you were doing in that moment.
Maybe it was walking in nature, reading a book, or spending time with loved ones. When life feels overwhelming, give yourself permission to revisit that calm, peaceful space.

For me, creating HER’MINE has been as much about fostering confidence and beauty as it has been about learning to balance the hustle with intentional self-care. It’s a reminder that stepping away isn’t a weakness—it’s a way to recharge so you can come back stronger, whether that’s in your personal life or professional journey.
