Meet Ekta Saini

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Ekta Saini. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Alright, so we’re so thrilled to have Ekta with us today – welcome and maybe we can jump right into it with a question about one of your qualities that we most admire. How did you develop your work ethic? Where do you think you get it from?

My worth ethic comes from my parents. Today, we live in an age of abundant resources—Google, YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Audible, book clubs, and countless digital tools. But I grew up in a time without these conveniences. Back then, inspiration and knowledge came primarily from our immediate environment, and for me, it was my parents.

Both of them worked exceptionally hard to provide us with an education and a great life. I am profoundly grateful for the privilege of education they afforded me, which sparked my lifelong love for learning.

This passion has driven me to continuously seek knowledge through books, digital courses, and other resources. I stay actively enrolled in various online programs, and my goal for 2025 is to ensure that not a single day passes without engaging in a course that enriches my understanding and makes me more knowledgeable.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

I am the CEO of Shree Group and the National Director of Miss World America. My work focuses on creating impactful platforms that empower individuals, nurture talent, and inspire communities. Shree Group operates across various industries, fostering innovation and excellence, while my role at Miss World America emphasizes life skills, diversity, compassionate leadership, volunteerism, and philanthropy.

Miss World Organization has donated $1.3 billion to humanitarian initiatives globally. This year, as National Director, we served over 250 community organizations through our 71 titleholders and our own national office initiatives.

What excites me most is educating people about Miss World America’s mission, mentoring individuals, broadening horizons, and serving communities tirelessly. We’re currently working on initiatives to promote inclusivity and launch programs aimed at meaningful, lasting change.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

The single most crucial skill for excelling in life is emotional intelligence (EQ); all other skills can be learned on the job.

Without EQ, even a wealth of technical skills holds little value, as it doesn’t bring true peace or fulfillment. In a career,

EQ enhances communication, resolves conflicts, inspires trust through leadership, and supports adaptability in stressful situations.

it fosters deeper connections, prevents misunderstandings, models healthy emotional behavior for co-workers, and strengthens emotional well-being, ensuring harmony and mutual support in all kinds of relationships, and for me RELATIONSHIPS ARE EVERYTHING.

Awesome, really appreciate you opening up with us today and before we close maybe you can share a book recommendation with us. Has there been a book that’s been impactful in your growth and development?

The book “Die with Zero” by Bill Perkins introduces a transformative approach to life and wealth management. Perkins challenges the conventional mindset of saving excessively for the future, instead advocating for maximizing meaningful experiences throughout one’s life. The core philosophy emphasizes the time-value of experiences, showing how certain moments are best enjoyed during specific stages of life.

He promotes spending wisely, embracing calculated risks, and prioritizing memories over material wealth. The book encourages aligning financial decisions with personal fulfillment to create a life of purpose, joy, and lasting impact.

I have tried to read and learn wisdom from over 4000 books in the past 30 years after my marriage, DIE WITH ZERO is my number #1 book,
