Meet Elduque

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Elduque. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with elDuque below.

ElDuque, so happy to have you with us today. You are such a creative person, but have you ever head any sort of creativity block along the way? If so, can you talk to us about how you overcame or beat it?

Sometimes I like to walk to clear my mind, many of my songs talk about things I experienced so I just go with the flow of the beat and the mood that I have at that moment.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

Well, I am a musical artist and I feel that the most special thing about making music is how your words can be repeated and loved by so many people. I feel that many people can identify with my experiences that I tell in my songs, whether it is the desire to achieve my goals or the broken heart and disappointment of a failed love.

This month I have a presentation at “Tu Candela Night Club” in Miami with the Miami Street Music family.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

My mother has told me this all my life, and is that I have the ability to adapt anywhere, whether it be groups of friends, jobs, environments, etc. This helps me know how to flow and be more versatile in each musical genre that I play.

Something that had a big impact on my life were the Red Bull rap battles, FMS, Quinto Escalon, and Plazas that made me want to rap.

And one advice that I can give to others who also want to start in this music thing is that if you really want it and are willing to fight for what you want, do it.

Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?

Yes, if you know someone who really wants to make music and you know that they have talent or it’s just you, follow me on IG and DM me @elduque_official
