Meet Eleanor David

We were lucky to catch up with Eleanor David recently and have shared our conversation below.

Eleanor , we’re so excited for our community to get to know you and learn from your journey and the wisdom you’ve acquired over time. Let’s kick things off with a discussion on self-confidence and self-esteem. How did you develop yours?

By Animating the Feminine Range.

It sounds odd to say, but my “self-confidence” solidified when I began to recognize the infinite expressions available to women. I realized how many judgments I held on certain embodiments and how closed off I was.  Admittedly, I organized a hierarchy of which expressions I deemed valuable and which I didn’t…  It was snobby.

When I realized the judgments towards other women only sustained my psychological cage… it was a reality check I couldn’t ignore.

I realized I was afraid to animate certain expressions other women were confident in. And once I removed my own fears and reevaluated my judgement, I became more comfortable expressing new embodiments. This is what I refer to as “animating archetypes”.

Once I had the self realization I dedicated my platform to the practice. I started dressing, talking and teaching how one woman can become multiple flavors.

The next phase of developing my esteem was having a witness to all these animations (or flavors). Basically I had to buck up and allow myself to be seen. Not only the Eleanor everyone was familiar with, but the other expressions I was afraid to show.

This was a HUGE leap of faith. But I knew I had to demonstrate what I was teaching. So off I went. I created content for my audience showing them my range of: edgy, funny, preppy, wild, intense, athletic, vulnerable, sophisticated, natural, glamorous etc

It’s been terrifying. But this is part of the process. You step into your truth and let someone see it.

From there, Rinse & Repeat. After a while the confidence to show up as you are (in every various expression) becomes more and more fortified.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
Sure!  My academic background is in psychology.  I’m a fitness finatic and fashionista who blends natural principals with high end glamour.  Currently I am growing my brand The Conversationalist and establishing my online business.  I think of myself as a creator, writer and deep thinker.

My mind never shuts off and I see the world in patterns. The Conversationalist has been quite the evolution.  What started off with sharing random realizations in my car has developed into mini movies playing femme fatales, video responses about women’s magnetism effecting men and info graphics on the seven deadly sins.

I sincerely love what I do. And I couldn’t stop if I tried.

It’s important for me to cover big topics, sexy ideas, and controversial dynamics honestly and openly. And allow others to share their thoughts too.

It’s really building a community of sophisticated thinkers. I want to have a space online where we cover hot button issues while maintaining respect.

I love talking but I love listening even more. The tone of the brand is meant to make it feel like my audience and I are having an on going conversation.  This creates kinship and brings comfort to conversations that could be difficult or awkward. It doesn’t have to be that way, and we can laugh and have fun as we discuss the messiness of life and how we’re all trying to figure it out.

I absolutely love doing what I do.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

  1. Focus
  2. Transparency
  3. Play

  1. One of the qualities I’m most proud of is discipline. And that’s easier than people think when they can honestly identify what they want. It’s not about forcing a routine but staying clear on the vision and showing up no matter what. If you know who you want to be, what you want to accomplish or an experience you want to have, it’s about becoming flexible with the path there. But never loosing sight of what you’re aiming for.  The goal doesn’t have to be tangible like money, cars or things.  It can be a feeling or embodiment.  That takes discipline as well.  Doesn’t have to be perfect, just don’t throw in the towel. (And for me the gym taught me this lesson better than anything else).
  2. I would not be here today if I didn’t look at myself in a clean mirror. I’ve been fortunate enough to have honest people around me to thank for that. Some of the most challenging things I had to face was a truth about myself I didn’t like but someone called me out on. Made me better, kept my vision clear and it set me up to filter people out who were smoke and mirrors. The more transparent you are with yourself, the more transparent everyone is around you.
  3. Oh for goodness sake. Go have fun. You get both. Dedicate yourself to a calling and laugh endlessly. Get real & honest and go skip around. Show up when it gets incredibly hard and lounge in the sun. Lock in and vibe out.

How can folks who want to work with you connect?
I love this question! I have two answers, one for those who want to explore my offers and another for those interested in collaboration.

  1. Currently I have digital courses available on Eleanor’s School of Thought available for purchase.  Right now I am launching a lecture series that people can buy in bulk or a la carte.  The topics range from sex, love, power and seduction.  The most exclusive offer is 777, personal 1:1 sessions combined with a digital course on the Femme Fatale (based on the 7 deadly sins) and how this effects your relationship with men.  Here is the link for more information: https://eleanorsschool.thinkific.com/
  2. First and foremost I’m always down for a good conversation any podcaster or content creator who enjoys thoughtful discussion is welcome to connect.  Photographers & videographers are definitely a go. I really enjoy having a creative collaboration. Especially where we can tell stories through an archetype I animate.

Anyone who lives their own inspiration is always welcome to connect.  It’s contagious and great to be around.

I suppose I’ll do a personal call out! It’s actually a dream of mine to learn fashion sketching. So anyone out there with resources or courses let me know. ☺️
