Meet Elena Smith

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Elena Smith. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Hi Elena, thank you for being such a positive, uplifting person. We’ve noticed that so many of the successful folks we’ve had the good fortune of connecting with have high levels of optimism and so we’d love to hear about your optimism and where you think it comes from.
To be honest, Jeremiah 29:11 but overall optimism comes from every single area of my life. The Bible, family, friends, tv, strangers. Heck, even social media.

For me, optimism means having hope and having hope for the future. It means having faith that everything happens for a reason and that they’re is still so much goodness to be found and experienced. I honestly do not think God put me on this planet and gave me life to move any other way.

The moment the enemy tries to discourage me I get into the Bible, I call positive family and friends. I often times turn on my most favorite tunes. But overall I review back to things I’ve accomplished, persevered through and I dwell on the goodness I’ve already received and that reminds me there is more to come no matter what that particular hour brings…

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
I do so so much. Wow. Where to start? Well, I am a part time animal nurse with an animal care business. I have an influential clothing brand that has made it to 41 states in the US and 4 countries, I’m a Georgia public notary, wedding officiant and I help run a non profit that helps families in downtown Atlanta.

Needless to say there is never a dull day and collectively I love what I do and being able to bring it all together. I meet so many creatives. I encounter so many talented and just down to earth people.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Math. I cannot stress it enough. It’s in every realm of life. Being flexible and understanding. Now that I am in my 30s I get this a lot more. Lol.
And then trusting your gut. Is that a skill? Should be. The gift of discernment is real. It removed me and bypassed me from so many things.

As we end our chat, is there a book you can leave people with that’s been meaningful to you and your development?
The Bible. That’s why it stands for Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth.
