Meet Elijah Salgado

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Elijah Salgado. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Elijah below.

Hi Elijah, really happy you were able to join us today and we’re looking forward to sharing your story and insights with our readers. Let’s start with the heart of it all – purpose. How did you find your purpose?
At the age of 16-17, during my high school years in Somerset, Texas, I stumbled upon my purpose. Growing up, I was inspired by my older brother, Nathan Salgado, who passionately created music. This influence began when I was just 6-9 years old. During a challenging period, marked by issues at home and school, I turned to music as an outlet. Engaging in music allowed me to escape from the troubles of the world, transporting me to a place of pure joy and contentment. It became my sanctuary, where everything felt right. From that pivotal moment onward, I realized that my true calling in life was to pursue music indefinitely.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
BackEnd Music Group excels in artist management, prioritizing the utmost care for our clients and the thriving of their businesses. Our core focus revolves around nurturing brand development and strategic decision-making to ensure their music resonates with the right audience and paves the way for significant opportunities. Moreover, we meticulously handle the administration of their music catalogs, guaranteeing timely receipt of royalty payments and maximizing earnings from their exceptional and widely-streamed music, spanning American territories and beyond. We take immense pride in safeguarding our clients’ best interests, empowering their current careers, and shaping their futures as accomplished music composers. What truly sets our company apart is the profound positive impact we bring to the lives of many, making each endeavor truly exhilarating.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
I emphasize three essential traits that I believe can benefit not only myself but also countless others: adaptability, integrity, and time management. These three qualities hold the power to propel individuals forward in pursuing their ideas and achieving their goals. By prioritizing adaptability, one can navigate the ever-changing landscape of work and business, allowing for effective responses to challenges and new opportunities. Upholding integrity ensures a strong moral compass, fostering trust and credibility in personal and professional interactions. Lastly, mastering time management enables individuals to optimize their productivity, making the most of their resources and delivering results. By embracing these three traits, one can not only excel in manifesting their own ideas but also positively impact and assist various companies and teams across any industry or field of work.

What would you advise – going all in on your strengths or investing on areas where you aren’t as strong to be more well-rounded?
To me, I strongly believe that dedicating yourself to practicing and refining your core strengths and skills is the key to achieving excellence and unlocking limitless possibilities. While the adage advises against putting all your eggs in one basket, one of my personal mottos is that it’s better to be a master of a few trades than a jack of all trades. It’s important to focus on mastering one skill or passion at a time in order to avoid scattering your efforts and overwhelming yourself. Our minds have a tendency to eagerly propel our ideas forward as quickly as possible, but it’s crucial to take a step-by-step approach. By prioritizing what you are most passionate about and truly excel at, you can establish a solid foundation before embarking on new ideas. This approach allows for focused attention and increases the chances of success. Remember to always take it one step at a time, focusing on your strongest and most passionate areas first, before venturing into new ideas you’d like to explore.
