Meet Elizabeth Craig

We were lucky to catch up with Elizabeth Craig recently and have shared our conversation below.

Elizabeth, we’re so excited for our community to get to know you and learn from your journey and the wisdom you’ve acquired over time. Let’s kick things off with a discussion on self-confidence and self-esteem. How did you develop yours?

I always believed I had a healthy level of self-esteem but it wasn’t until my early 30’s that I realized I had very little trust in myself. It was as if there was a moment when the lens I used to view myself shattered and the new one gave me a crystal-clear picture of the truth; I was nose-deep in quite the pit of low self-worth. Never having been in this place before, I struggled to find my way out. Truly, it was through sheer curiosity, perseverance, and dedication to figuring out how to love myself again that eventually brought me to a healthy balance of Self. My curiosity led me to seeking new information anywhere I could find it. Through books, podcasts, workshops, and conversations with people in my inner and outer circles, I was able to gather new information in an effort to shift my perspective on my relationship with myself. I also began journaling daily and found that this was the most impactful step toward understanding my inner thoughts and self-limiting beliefs that needed to be peeled apart and healed. I also sought professional support through a Reiki Master and Life Coach, which was a true game-changer. The tools I learned allowed me to heal in body, mind, and spirit, and that was integral to changing my life. Looking back, it was clear that each of those steps alone were small pieces of a bigger puzzle on my path to confidence and self-esteem. It was never one thing, tool, or insight pulling me forward in my personal evolution; I could see that it was a fusion of all of these things, and all of the time.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

I believe in the magic of life, and compassion and kindness are my guide. I also believe we’re born into this world with lessons to learn and that the Universe is constantly guiding us to master the one thing we all want: a joyous, contented, and passionate life. Helping folks navigate this journey is what I do.

My focus is uncovering the blocks associated with self-limiting beliefs that are holding clients back from living the life they’ve always wanted while incorporating Reiki to assist in removing energetic blocks that arise from what is revealed through Life Coaching. It’s a beautiful synergy of healing modalities resulting in an enhanced experience.

I just launched my first book and accompanying journal, which also comes with a box of handmade and handpicked items to assist folks on a self-love journey. Every anecdote, bit of insight, and tool in the book came from my personal experiences and revelations. Every ritual, prompt, and exercise in the journal came from my own questions and are what led to my biggest shifts in consciousness. Every item included in the box were my talismans, companions, and tools that provided comfort, energetic guidance, and healing along my adventures. Combining all of these things along my journey of self-exploration and discovery is exactly what brought me to the other side of it in a meaningful way filled with strength, confidence, and authenticity. The full set is available on my website.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

1. Self-Compassion
2. Curiosity
3. Perseverance

It takes a lot of patience and self-compassion to embark on a healing journey. Remaining in a place of non-judgment and trust is integral because only you can change your relationship with yourself, and that takes time and tenderness.

Curiosity is one of the most important mindsets you can be in to shift your mood or perspective. Each time I encountered some form of fear, anxiety, or negative self-talk, rather than feeling guilt or shame, I tried to shift into a state of curiosity. Why did I have that thought? Where did it come from? What was I afraid of? What if I looked at it from a different perspective? Did that change how I felt? Asking myself endless questions allowed me to unravel patterns and behaviors that weren’t serving me and replace them with ones that did.

Remaining dedicated and persistent in my journey wasn’t difficult because, as I said, my curiosity always led me to the next thing. I never gave up because I saw my continued growth, which made me want to take it a step further each day. I believe that the most important relationship you can have in your life is the one you have with yourself. Therefore making it strong and resilient was important to me.

Tell us what your ideal client would be like?

My ideal client is emotionally and mentally invested in their personal growth journey and is usually embarking on a major life transformation. This is my area of specialty. Whether it’s divorce or relationship changes, a career overhaul, or evolving into a different version of themselves, I can help them build a roadmap to a future of joy, freedom, and authentic living. It can be scary and confusing when what worked in one’s life no longer does. My specific skillset and intuitive expertise allow me to partner with a client to uncover and reveal old patterns and behaviors that need to be released while identifying new pathways into the life they always dreamed of. My ideal client is committed to focusing on themself and is ready to dig deep and put in the work to heal.
