Meet Elizabeth Fraley

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Elizabeth Fraley. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Elizabeth, we’re thrilled to have you on our platform and we think there is so much folks can learn from you and your story. Something that matters deeply to us is living a life and leading a career filled with purpose and so let’s start by chatting about how you found your purpose.
After careful self-reflection, early education and teaching are aspects of life that I’ve always cared a great deal about. Educating children and guiding families are important aspects of my career. From an early age, I recognized my strengths and talents and wanted to put them to use to better children’s lives and make a difference in the community. There are many educators in field that have inspired me and that I look up to this day. They help motivate me to make a difference in the lives of those I reach. As an educator it is my duty to empower myself to empower by students to be the best version of themselves.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
Kinder Ready is a 1:1 in home educational service that offers a wealth of information, knowledge, and variety of educational tools to help your child excel academically and emotionally for a better tomorrow. Kinder Ready offers customizable curriculum to meet the needs of your child’s early learning by helping your child finding their interests and strengths. Parents receive feedback on sessions, home extension activities, and progress monitoring of skills throughout the course of classes.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
A great entrepreneur must be able to strategize, learn, focus, sell, and communicate with effectiveness. First, you need to know what has priority over other aspects of your job. Making a list will help you rank the order of what to tackle first, second and so forth.

Learning is essential for all entrepreneurs. My top five list of books for entrepreneurs include: Arise, Awake by Rashmini Bansal, Winners Take All by Anand Giridharadas, Built To Sell by John Warrillow, Business Model Generation by Alexander Osterwalder, and Rework by Jason Fried.

Communication is also key. Entrepreneurs need to be upfront, timely, and offer ways to communicate across several platforms.

As we end our chat, is there a book you can leave people with that’s been meaningful to you and your development?
One of the most valuable books I’ve reads so far as an entrepreneur is The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People. This book has been a favorite for several decades to business leaders everywhere. The first habit is to be proactive by focusing on what you can control. The second habit is to have a clear goal of the end in mind, to find clear measures of success and plan to accomplish them. The third habit is to put first things first to achieve your most important goals from the get go. The fourth habit is to have a win-win mentality by creating and maintaining key relationships. The fifth habit is to develop an understanding of people’s needs and perspectives. The sixth habit is to develop solutions that keep all stakeholders happy. The last and final habit is to increase your motivation and work/life balance making time for rejuvenating activities.
