Meet Elizabeth Incrocci

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Elizabeth Incrocci. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Elizabeth, we’re thrilled to have you on our platform and we think there is so much folks can learn from you and your story. Something that matters deeply to us is living a life and leading a career filled with purpose and so let’s start by chatting about how you found your purpose.

From a young age, I felt a natural pull towards capturing life’s moments through photography. It was a way to tell stories, to immortalize emotions, and to give others the gift of memories preserved. Alongside this passion, I’ve always aspired to be my own boss, driven by a go-getter spirit and a strong work ethic that shaped my journey toward entrepreneurship.

However, my purpose in life truly crystallized when I became a mother. Motherhood transformed me in profound ways, imbuing my life with newfound meaning and instilling a sense of confidence and strength I hadn’t previously known. My daughter gave me the clarity to fully appreciate my worth, both as an individual and as a business owner.

Today, as I approach my work, I’m fueled by a sense of purpose that extends beyond business. Through Elizabeth Ireland Photography, I get to honor people’s lives by capturing their most meaningful moments. This journey of personal growth and professional purpose has become the foundation of everything I do, and I am grateful to have found a path that allows me to give back through the art of storytelling.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?

Photography has been part of my life since I was a child. I grew up treasuring old family photos, gathering with loved ones to relive the memories they held. This love for capturing moments is at the heart of my work and drives my passion as a photographer today. I’m a San Diego photographer, and I specialize in family, event, and portrait photography, with a focus on documenting the unique, beautiful stories of my clients over the years.

I like to think of myself as a generational photographer because I’m honored to capture each chapter of my clients’ lives—from their first family portraits to milestone celebrations, updated headshots, and everything in between. Building these lifelong connections, where I can witness families grow and evolve, is a gift that makes my work truly special. I also continue to offer property photography, which lets me connect with clients in a different way, adding another layer to the stories I help tell.

In a digital world, it’s easy to let moments live only on a screen, but I believe the real magic happens when you hold these memories in your hands. That’s why I encourage my clients to bring their images to life with prints, custom albums, and wall displays so they can experience the joy of these memories every day.

Giving back has also become a meaningful part of my journey. Working closely with local nonprofits, I’m humbled to provide sessions for families navigating unimaginable challenges, offering them a way to preserve moments of unity and strength. Capturing families’ resilience and love in times of hardship has been profoundly fulfilling, and I’m committed to making photography accessible to everyone who may need it.

I’ve had the privilege of collaborating with local businesses and publications, which has expanded my impact in the community. For me, photography is more than a job; it’s about creating a legacy—one that my clients and their families can cherish for generations.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

Looking back, three qualities have been essential in my journey as a photographer: empathy, adaptability, and a dedication to relationship building. Each of these qualities has shaped not only my work but also the relationships I’ve built with clients and the way I approach challenges.

Empathy has been the foundation of my ability to connect with clients and understand the significance of their moments. Photography is intimate; it requires trust, and empathy helps me capture each client’s unique story. For those starting out, I’d recommend taking the time to listen, be present, and understand the emotions of those you photograph. Building trust and understanding clients’ needs can make all the difference in capturing genuine moments.

Adaptability is also crucial in photography. From lighting and location changes to working with diverse personalities and handling unexpected challenges, adaptability lets me approach each situation calmly and creatively. For newcomers, practicing different shooting styles, experimenting with light, and even working in challenging environments can help build this skill. Staying flexible and open to change can turn obstacles into opportunities.

Lastly, networking and relationship building have helped me grow in a people-centered industry. Every connection I make—whether with clients, colleagues, or other professionals—enhances my work and my business. For those just starting out, I’d encourage actively building relationships within your community and industry. Attend workshops, collaborate on projects, and engage with others on social platforms. This focus on connection will not only expand your network but also enrich your journey.

For anyone new to photography, combining empathy, adaptability, and a dedication to networking and relationship building can make for a fulfilling, successful journey.

Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?

Absolutely! I’m always eager to find opportunities to partner and collaborate with others in my community. I believe that collaboration not only sparks creativity but also allows us to expand our reach and make a greater impact together.

I’m particularly interested in connecting with event planners who can refer clients seeking event photography. Their insights into client needs are invaluable and can help me tailor my services to create even more meaningful experiences.

I’m also excited about the prospect of collaborating with local magazines and publications for features or content creation. Showcasing my work through these outlets not only broadens my audience but also contributes to the rich storytelling within our community.

In addition, I’m looking to partner with real estate professionals. Their continuous need for photography, combined with their connections, makes them ideal collaborators for headshot days, family portrait sessions and more. I also see wonderful opportunities in working with family-oriented businesses like children’s stores and pediatric offices, as they can help me connect with families in need of photography services.

Lastly, I’m open to building relationships with local social media influencers who focus on family or lifestyle content. Their platforms can provide a fantastic avenue to showcase my work and reach potential clients in a more authentic and engaging way.

If anyone is interested in collaborating, I would love to connect! You can reach out to me through my website or on social media. Let’s explore how we can work together to create beautiful moments and lasting memories for our clients.
