Meet Elizabeth Samper

We were lucky to catch up with Elizabeth Samper recently and have shared our conversation below.

Alright, so we’re so thrilled to have Elizabeth with us today – welcome and maybe we can jump right into it with a question about one of your qualities that we most admire. How did you develop your work ethic? Where do you think you get it from?
My work ethic stems from putting myself in others shoes. As someone who went through the wedding planning process, I wanted to be emulate everything I needed that I didn’t have. Someone who would recognize my stress and say “I’ll be there to help you” and just alleviate the overwhelming to do list that just comes with planning an event.

Owning a business is not about superiority in my opinion, it’s about remembering you’re providing a service to someone who needs you. At the end of the day, most of my clients actually become my friends because of the amazing relationship we developed through the process.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
We Do Too is an event coordinating company focussing on Day of Coordination. Our Day of Coordination comes with an automatic 30 day lead time, we end up being with you for the whole month before. We do take 5 partial planning weddings a year as well.

When a bride is proposed too, it often does not come with “well I’ve never though about what my wedding day will look like”. Most of the time, brides know where they want to get married, who their photographer will be, what type of dress they want, etc.

We fully believe a Bride should enjoy planning her wedding and then pass off the stress and the details to us when we’re 30 days out. Our team comes in the month before to contact vendors, provide timelines, call those guests who haven’t RSVP’d, attend your rehearsal, take over the logistical details, etc.

The day of your wedding we are there from set up (to make sure your vision comes true) until breakdown, to ensure you are enjoying your day without any worry.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Organization, attention to detail and trust!

The “Type A” personality is sometimes looked down upon, but when you have someone planning your wedding, you really need that personality in order to feel secure. Organization is key when creating your timeline, contacting all your vendors and writing down all the details and dreams you’d like to have come true on your wedding day.

Attention to detail is necessary, especially when communicating arrival time, planning your first look, choosing rental pieces, etc. After working over 100 weddings, lots of details that don’t come to mind at first have now become a checklist that we make sure are paid attention to before the big day.

TRUST! As cliche as it sounds, trust the process. I once had a bride have a panic attack over the perfect font for her bar signage…I promise you, your guests won’t end the night saying “wow she used Helvetica…I hated it”. Trust that we’re there to make everything beautiful for you and that our number one priority is that you & your spouse are HAPPY!

One of our goals is to help like-minded folks with similar goals connect and so before we go we want to ask if you are looking to partner or collab with others – and if so, what would make the ideal collaborator or partner?
We are always always looking for wedding vendors to add to our preferred vendors list!

We work with many different kind of brides, so we love to provide different vendor options for them to research and choose from.

Any and all vendors are welcome!!
