Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Ella Scaduto. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Ella, so good to have you with us today. We’ve always been impressed with folks who have a very clear sense of purpose and so maybe we can jump right in and talk about how you found your purpose?
Sense of purpose comes from being connected to others, thus using our gifts or talents in the service of our community can help find that purpose. Developing a growth mindset is essential for personal development and incredibly helpful in finding one’s purpose. Growing as a person spiritually, growing older in general, listening to stories of people that I have impacted, surrounding myself with people I look up to and being part of my community has helped me find my purpose.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
I am, a Certified Matchmaker and Certified Science-Based Relationship Coach, seamlessly blend my expertise in psychology, research, and human behavior to offer a unique perspective. My dedication extends beyond conventional expectations as I strive to empower singles within the community to navigate the complexities of the dating world. I also curate local speed dating events and singles mixers, creating opportunities for individuals to connect and potentially find their perfect match in a fun and relaxed setting. The most exciting part in my matchmaking profession, is when I meet someone new and while talking to them I realize that I know someone who would be a great match to them. And of coarse I absolutely love when I find my clients their forever person and when my Speed Daters email me and tell all about this guy/gal they met at the event and how happy they are. Speaking of Speed Dating events, there is one every month and the next one is on July 19th.
I have had a coaching program for men for a long time and now have launched a coaching program just for women, called Conscious Dating Blueprint. Very excited to start helping women navigate the world of dating.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Looking all the way back, I always wanted to help people somehow. Having empathy, listening and communication skills are and were always important in my line of work. Education that will support your chosen career path is also great to have. I think for anyone in the service and coaching industry listening, communication skills and empathy are essential to have. Best advice I can think of is to be open-minded towards almost everything to better yourself in those skills and qualities. Expanding your social circle beyond your comfort zone is also great. Participate in some difficult conversations with open mind and heart and with respect to one another. General curiosity about someone you are talking to will lead to interesting questions and deeper conversations.

We’ve all got limited resources, time, energy, focus etc – so if you had to choose between going all in on your strengths or working on areas where you aren’t as strong, what would you choose?
Sometimes I feel that perfecting one area of expertise would have been great, but as a sole business owner I do not have that privilege, so investing my time and effort in being well rounded in many different areas is a way to go. Many know this, that as a business owner we have different hats to wear through out the day or week. I have personally invested some time and energy to become better at marketing and advertising. Practicing to be a better event organizer, a better coach and even a better receptionist. I have invested extensive amount of time and effort into becoming a better marketer to let people know that they do not need to go through dating hurdles alone. Inform locals that there are events just for them to get their toes into the dating pool in a fun and low pressure environment.
