Meet Elle Brewster

We were lucky to catch up with Elle Brewster recently and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Elle, thank you so much for opening up with us about some important, but sometimes personal topics. One that really matters to us is overcoming Imposter Syndrome because we’ve seen how so many people are held back in life because of this and so we’d really appreciate hearing about how you overcame Imposter Syndrome.

About two years into running RGM, I hit a wall. The general feeling of overwhelm crept in – a sense of having too much on my plate or not knowing if it was something I should be doing. It was like juggling a million tasks at once, and I questioned my ability. Like did I really know what I was doing? Looking back, I realize it was a combination of imposter syndrome and genuine growing pains. The business was expanding, and I hadn’t quite adapted my mindset to handle the increased workload.

The turning point came when I considered giving up. Thankfully, I didn’t! Instead, I took a step back and re-evaluated. I focused on my accomplishments – the successful social media strategies I’d developed for clients, the positive feedback I’d received, and the supportive community I’d built within RGM. Realizing the value I offered helped combat those feelings of inadequacy.

Fast forward to today, reaching my 4th year in business has been incredibly rewarding. The knowledge and experience I’ve accumulated have solidified my confidence. I genuinely know what I’m doing, and I see the direct impact my work has on my clients’ online success. Imposter syndrome still pops up occasionally, but now I face it head-on by focusing on the positive results I deliver.

Looking back on my fourth year in business, I can confidently say that experience is pivotal. If I had given up in year two, I wouldn’t be where I am today. Reaching year four has been a milestone, but it’s just the beginning. The biggest takeaway? Don’t give up too soon. If you give up before five years, you’ll never know what you could learn. If you give up before ten years, you’ll never know what you could truly accomplish. The journey is full of challenges, but the rewards of perseverance are immense.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?

Hey…I’m Elle! I’m a social media manager, content creator, and your Business Bestie.

My journey began in the fast-paced world of restaurant management, where helping others wasn’t just a job, it was a passion. But I craved a creative outlet and to empower others on a larger scale. Right Girl Media (RGM), born in April 2020 (yes, during the pandemic!), became that outlet.

Many brilliant entrepreneurs struggle with the “how” of building an online presence. That’s where RGM steps in helping solopreneurs, business owners, Georgia Attorneys, and even fellow social media managers.

I love empowering women, in particular, to confidently build their dream brands. Why women? Because I believe we’re stronger together. But I don’t discriminate! RGM welcomes all creatives, entrepreneurs, and solopreneurs who are ready to take their online game to the next level.

We empower creatives to take their online game to the next level through:

Strategic content creation: Eye-catching posts and stories that resonate with your target audience.
Engaging community management: Fostering meaningful interactions with your followers.
Data-driven growth strategies: Utilizing analytics to track progress and optimize campaigns.

Beyond the individual success of my clients, I’m passionate about building community that provides real support. That’s why I created The Creative CEO Society, a supportive network for Social Media Managers to learn, collaborate, and share experiences – all without breaking the bank! It’s a space with none of the gatekeeping or hefty price tags commonly found in the industry.

What sets me apart?

Passion: I genuinely love empowering others to reach their full potential.
Relatability: Having walked in my client’s shoes, I understand their challenges.
Community focus: Creating a supportive space for growth and collaboration.

I’m most proud of the connections I’ve made along the way and my ability to empower other entrepreneurs. Whether you’re just starting your brand, a seasoned entrepreneur, or a social media manager yourself, RGM is here to help you succeed.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

Looking back, the three biggest things that helped me build RGM weren’t necessarily the flashiest skills, but the ones that got me through the tough times.

Here’s the truth: running a business is not for the weak! There will be days you question everything, but that’s where persistence comes in. Celebrate EVERY win, no matter how small. Remember you don’t make mistakes you learn lessons! And Surround yourself with positive people who believe in you – trust me, it makes a world of difference.

The social media world moves fast, so being adaptable is key. Stay curious, read industry blogs, and don’t be afraid to experiment with new strategies. The best way to learn is by doing, and analyzing the results helps you figure out what works best for your clients. Speaking of which, keeping your client focus laser-sharp is crucial. Actively listen to their needs, goals, and who they’re trying to reach. Clear communication and delivering results will build strong relationships that go the distance.

We’ve all got limited resources, time, energy, focus etc – so if you had to choose between going all in on your strengths or working on areas where you aren’t as strong, what would you choose?

Sure, finding the sweet spot between strengths and weaknesses is key. While your strengths are your superpowers – the skills that bring the most value and allow you to excel – neglecting weaknesses altogether can limit your growth.

Think of it this way: everyone has a unique set of skills and talents. Being a jack-of-all-trades can be helpful in the early stages, but true success often comes from focusing on what you do best. Why spend time and energy struggling with tasks that don’t feed you or come naturally?

The world is full of talented individuals who can excel in your weaker areas. By strategically delegating or collaborating, you can free yourself to focus on your “zone of genius” – the areas where your skills and passion truly shine. This allows you to deliver exceptional value to clients and cultivate a sense of fulfillment in your work.

The key takeaway? Identify your strengths, leverage them to SHINE, and then strategically address weaknesses that could significantly hinder your progress. Don’t be afraid to collaborate or build a team! Partnering with others who complement your skillset allows you to excel in your zone of genius while ensuring you deliver a well-rounded offering that provides exceptional value.

One thing for certain -we can’t go far alone!
