We recently connected with Elsa Zamora and have shared our conversation below.
Elsa, thank you so much for joining us. You are such a positive person and it’s something we really admire and so we wanted to start by asking you where you think your optimism comes from?
My family and friends always encourage me to work harder in my business. Without them, I would not know what to do, they are my strength and motivation to work harder.
Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
I am the owner of Elsa Boutique Handmade Goods. We are currently scouting for a physical location. We sell products in Ohio and in Michigan. I have one other colleagues that are in the process of opening our store, will be located in Ohio.
Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Customer Service, Sewing, and Crocheting skills. That’s what moved me to start exploring my options of what I can do with these skills. My advice would be to first, know what skill you would love to explore and do lots of research, and then do a small project and build from there.
What has been your biggest area of growth or improvement in the past 12 months?
I’ve learned to work in a team and opened multiple booth locations, learn from my past mistakes. Expanded my store to online, which was very hard to do on my own and managed to overcome this obstacle.
