Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Elvira Oppenheim. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Elvira , so great to have you with us and we want to jump right into a really important question. In recent years, it’s become so clear that we’re living through a time where so many folks are lacking self-confidence and self-esteem. So, we’d love to hear about your journey and how you developed your self-confidence and self-esteem.
I was raised by two entrepreneurs, both my mom and dad ran their own businesses, so from a young age, I saw what it meant to be driven and self-sufficient. Growing up in Ukraine, I studied at several schools at the same time and started earning my own money when I was 13 years old, especially after my parents’ divorce. I was always drawn to beauty, success, and the mindset behind it. I would watch successful people, read their books, and adopt their habits as my own. That period of my life taught me discipline, consistency, and the power of ambition – lessons that shaped the confidence I carry with me today.
Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
This summer marks a major milestone. Impress Swim will make its runway debut at Miami Swim Week – our very first fashion show, and a moment I’ve truly poured my heart into. The collection reflects strength and sensuality, designed to empower women to be unapologetically themselves.
I’m not just building a swimwear brand, I’m building a movement. My vision for Impress Swim goes beyond fashion; it’s about creating a space where women feel powerful, confident, and celebrated. It’s a brand rooted in empowerment and self-expression.
I’m also honored to represent the United States at Ms World International this August in Miami, and excited to be featured in two upcoming reality series: Beyond the Sash on Amazon Prime and World International Top Models airing on network TV. Both projects offer a behind-the-scenes look into the world of pageantry, fashion, and the dedication it takes to bring bold dreams to life.
At the heart of everything I do, whether on the runway, in business, or in everyday life is the mission to inspire women to lead with power, beauty, and authenticity.
There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
The three qualities that have shaped my journey the most are consistency, dedication, and discipline.
Being a single mom, launching a brand, and building a modeling career – none of that happens without a clear goal and the daily commitment to move toward it. I don’t believe in shortcuts. I believe in knowing your “why” and showing up for it, even on the hard days.
My advice to anyone just starting out: stay focused, stay disciplined, and remind yourself every day what you’re working for. That clarity will carry you through everything.
One of our goals is to help like-minded folks with similar goals connect and so before we go we want to ask if you are looking to partner or collab with others – and if so, what would make the ideal collaborator or partner?
Yes, absolutely! I’m currently building a Brand Ambassador Program for Impress Swim because, as I mentioned earlier, I don’t want this to be just a swimwear brand, I want it to be a movement.
My goal is to create real opportunities for young women to not only connect with the brand, but also to earn from it, grow with it, and feel part of something bigger.
It’s going to evolve into our IMPRESS Girls’ Club – a strong, beautiful, and supportive female community where we uplift each other, build confidence, and create success together. It’s more than fashion; it’s about connection, empowerment, and shared purpose.
I’m looking to collaborate with passionate, driven women – models, influencers, students, entrepreneurs — who align with our values and want to be part of this journey.
