Meet Emani Greene

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Emani Greene. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Emani, so good to have you with us today. We’ve always been impressed with folks who have a very clear sense of purpose and so maybe we can jump right in and talk about how you found your purpose?
I found my purpose in the middle of my pain. When I hit my lowest mentally, emotionally, and spiritually, I realized God wasn’t just allowing me to go through things. He was shaping me, rebuilding me, and preparing me for who I was called to be. It was in the moments where I had nothing left but God, where I felt lost and completely defeated that purpose started to form.

Through healing, motherhood, and rebuilding my confidence, I discovered that my story wasn’t just for me. It was meant to uplift & free other women, especially the ones who feel unseen, overwhelmed, or stuck in their own darkness. My purpose showed up when I realized everything I survived was meant to help someone else survive too. My healing became my calling. My story became my assignment.

God revealed that nothing I went through was wasted. Every storm and every setback positioned me to help other women rise into who they’re called to be. That’s where my purpose was born: to empower women, to change narratives, to break cycles, and to show others that they can rise just like I did.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
I’m Emani, the founder of MWL Beautique and PowHERful Journey—two sister brands created to empower women through healing, confidence, purpose, and transformation.

Both brands were birthed from my own journey, from pain to purpose. I went through seasons of loss, self doubt, and rebuilding my identity. That process taught me the power of healing, intention, and becoming the woman God created me to be. So I made it my mission to pour that same transformation into other women.

MWL Beautique is my beauty brand rooted in intention. Every product especially my affirmation-based lippies is created to uplift women from the inside out. I recently launched my cosmetic collection, and what makes it special is that it’s more than beauty… it’s empowerment. Every shade speaks life, every product carries purpose, and every package is designed to remind women of who they are becoming.

PowHERful Journey is my empowerment and mental wellness platform for women and young girls who are healing, evolving, and stepping into their purpose. Through storytelling, community, and real conversations, I help women feel seen, supported, and understood.

What excites me most is knowing that everything I create is deeply intentional. My mission is to break generational cycles and shift the narratives shaped by trauma, pressure, and silence — guiding women toward healing, self love, confidence, and becoming their highest self. My goal is to impact, inspire, and give women hope through every part of my work.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Looking back, the three qualities that impacted my journey the most were faith, resilience, and self-awareness.

Faith kept me grounded when everything around me felt uncertain. It reminded me that even when I couldn’t see the full picture, God was still guiding me. My advice: stay connected spiritually. Pray, journal, speak life over yourself, and let God lead you instead of trying to control everything alone.

Resilience pushed me to rise after every setback and to keep going even when it was hard. Resilience isn’t about being strong all the time, it’s about choosing not to give up. My advice: take things one day at a time and give yourself grace. Slow progress is still progress.

Self-awareness changed everything. Healing forced me to look within, confront my patterns, and get honest about what I needed emotionally and mentally. My advice: do the inner work. Therapy, self reflection, and setting boundaries will help you grow into the version of yourself you’re called to be.

*Guidance for someone early in their journey:
Start small, stay consistent, trust God, and don’t rush your becoming. You are building a foundation that will carry you farther than you can imagine.

Who has been most helpful in helping you overcome challenges or build and develop the essential skills, qualities or knowledge you needed to be successful?
The people who helped me the most were the ones who shaped me from the very beginning: God, my mother, and my grandmother. God guided me through every season, even the ones I didn’t think I’d make it through. My mother and grandmother modeled strength, faith, and perseverance long before I understood how much I’d need those qualities in my own journey. They taught me resilience, independence, and how to keep going even when life gets heavy. Their wisdom and sacrifices built the foundation I stand on today.

I also want to mention my man, because he pushes me in ways that help me grow. He challenges me, supports me, and believes in me — especially in the moments when I start to question myself. Having a partner who sees my potential, speaks life into me, and encourages me as I continue to rise has made a huge difference in my journey.

Along the way, therapy, mentorship, and the women in my community have also played a huge role. They reminded me that I don’t have to heal alone and that vulnerability is a strength, not a weakness.

Most importantly, my daughter — one of my biggest motivators and the reason I fight so hard. She pushes me to continue growing, healing, and becoming the woman I want her to see. I wouldn’t be who I am or where I am without the people God has placed in my life to teach me, guide me, support me, and shape me into the best version of myself.
