We recently connected with Emanuel Deanda and have shared our conversation below.
Emanuel , we’re thrilled to have you sharing your thoughts and lessons with our community. So, for folks who are at a stage in their life or career where they are trying to be more resilient, can you share where you get your resilience from?
I probably got my resiliency from my mother and father and also in my own journeys in my young life. Playing sports like high school football, it helped to strengthen my mind for touch situations and adversity. It shaped me. S/o to my high school George Westinghouse High in the neighborhood of Homewood in my home city Pittsburgh.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
I a singer, songwriter, music producer and educator. I was a part of two boy bands, one in Pittsburgh Pa called Crave. We had mega success locally which garnered us national attention. I then joined the more known and popular group Pretty Ricky. I toured with them, recorded and released an album, wrote and recorded hundreds of songs with the group. I have collaborated with the likes of Snoop Dogg, Trick Daddy, H-Town, Jodeci, Jackie-O, Bone Thugs N Harmony, and more. I am now a solo artist and owner / operator of 808 Music Productions LLC, still releasing music to the world.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
The three areas I would pin point are my skill development vocally. Sharpening my pen through constant song writing, reading plenty of materials so I could build up my vocabulary and understanding of the English language. Also, using my natural music inclination to teach myself how to play piano and drums. Thank you YouTube University lol. And I was able to use all of these skills to make myself into a music producer, and the culmination of the aforementioned experiences, lead me to teaching these skills. If you are early in your learning journey, the best words I could give you is, Give yourself grace, and plenty of patience. Development takes time.

One of our goals is to help like-minded folks with similar goals connect and so before we go we want to ask if you are looking to partner or collab with others – and if so, what would make the ideal collaborator or partner?
I would love to collaborate with aspiring artists and musicians. I want to create alot of beautiful and unique music and that will take receiving the help from other intelligent, creative minds. If you are on the same page and what I am saying is your jam, hit my email. I am always ready to work and collaborate with other like minded individuals.
