Meet EMAYLA

We recently connected with EMAYLA and have shared our conversation below.

Hi EMAYLA, thank you for being such a positive, uplifting person. We’ve noticed that so many of the successful folks we’ve had the good fortune of connecting with have high levels of optimism and so we’d love to hear about your optimism and where you think it comes from.
My optimism comes from the way I see life. If you always and only do the things you love, you will always be happy, no matter what.
Doing the things you love makes you happy and that naturally generates optimism.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
Hi! I am EMAYLA! I’m a singer, songwriter, artist, multi-instrumentalist and recently also a dancer. What I love about what I do is that I get to express my feelings through my art and reach people’s soul.
My purpose in life is to spread my music and art to the world and change people’s life through that.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Skills-wise, I always recommend to learn an instrument, so it will allow you to write your own songs. So first one is learn an instrument, second be authentic, third put your heart in everything you do.

To close, maybe we can chat about your parents and what they did that was particularly impactful for you?
It was definitely the love and the support of respecting my decision to leave Italy and go to the United States, in order to follow my music career! I know it can be hard for a parent to see your child leave the nest, but definitely that was an amazing thing they did for me. Not all parents are that supportive of their kids. Big and impactful gesture!
