Meet Emilio Warwar

We were lucky to catch up with Emilio Warwar recently and have shared our conversation below.

Emilio, so great to have you with us and we want to jump right into a really important question. In recent years, it’s become so clear that we’re living through a time where so many folks are lacking self-confidence and self-esteem. So, we’d love to hear about your journey and how you developed your self-confidence and self-esteem.
I build my confidence by constantly thinking outside the box and working hard in what I do to bring my dreams to life. I create a list of steps to clear in order to hit my goals, and as I finish each step my self-esteem builds up, which helps me tackle the next step on the list. A big part in making those steps is by extreme planning that allows you to get the ability to have some form of foresight, which better prepares you for anything you may encounter. As you gain experience in your ability to plan out moves your confidence grows as so does your network and opportunities.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
I enjoy trying out different things. In that process I have discovered hidden talent while learning new skills with each new experience. “Warwar Enterprises” is a prime example of the talents and skill sets I have mastered through time. Being an Entrepreneur is no easy road, but I knew I could do it because mentally I knew I already had more opportunity and time than my father who had migrated from Cuba during the 80s in pursuit of Freedom and Opportunity. When he got here he found work in the furniture business as a driver and then bought his own truck. “Emilio Moving & Delivery ” has been a long lasting company which has been opened for 40 years, and is more than a successful business, as many of our clients love to call us Family. It is Because of his hard work and sacrifices that my sister & I never missed or needed anything. Working with him from the age of 13, my father taught me the value of honest work, money, time, running a business, and why we make sacrifices that sometimes are hard to understand from another perspective. Learning all this at an early age already prepared me for the things I would need to do to bring my dreams to life. Working hard with my father and at a part-time job, I quickly saved money to begin my own business venture by pursuing my love into photography. After a few years of working and building clients, I decided to begin printing my work and start a new journey into the Art side of photography. Entering many contests and showing at exhibitions I was quickly able to make that into a successful branch of photography business. A business venture that later expanded into filming, and art, which is why I rebranded into “Warwar Studios” . As my business grew, I saw opportunities to create another source of income in seeing there was a need for lighting and party equipment, so I invested my time and money in creating and opening “Magic City Party Rentals”.  As a side branch to the company we made “Magic City Party Hour” which is our team of dancers and Musicians to create the Entertainment side for our Party Rental company.  As I created these ventures and their logos, websites, social medias, and everything else by myself, I saw many friends and clients needed the same things and began creating a startup company which I named Genesis “The Smart Start”. Having all the experience I had gained with my prior ventures, Genesis began to start getting clients and it was all with the small idea of being able to help those who started off like I did, which was from scratch.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Like I’ve said in the past, I think its was my Hard work ethic that really got me to where I am today. Another would have to be my talent and passion for photography which took my expectations further than I had believed it would. At times I enjoy listening to speakers and their stories and positive insights which is also important to gain that knowledge and apply it to your life to get ahead. People who want to help and share their knowledge and stories are so important for us to have and its why it inspired me to open a podcast myself in 2017. “Think Tank Network” is a collective of entrepreneurs & artists climbing the stairs of success and their insights. As time passed, we partnered with “Hive.” which already works with entrepreneurs, artists, venues and more. Through “Hive.” and our investors at ” Wizards of Ecom” we finally gave “Think Tank” a beautiful and stable base of operations at “WOE Studio”. Everything that I’m doing or have done is just a big experiment. I ventured into each of these ideas and dreams to see what would happen, and with some hard work and some helping hands, it all worked out. The hardest part is all in the planning. In being able to plan for the good as well as the bad, and any situation that can be possible. It’s a little time consuming but I look for solutions to all those problems in my mind so that I’m prepared for when the time comes. I guess in a way that develops a form of foresight which leads you to better decision making, success, and more opportunities.

Before we go, maybe you can tell us a bit about your parents and what you feel was the most impactful thing they did for you?
I think the most impactful thing they did was all in how they raised my sister and I. If I can give 2 examples of this, it would be that their impact in always Photographing and videotaping us as kids led to me and my talents and the success it brought. The second example of how they raised us was with empathy, being conscious of others, hard work, and being sharp. This also influenced my decision to create a non-profit “DSG” or “Do Some Good”  in order to be able to help others in my community and the environment like I had been taught all my life. If it wasn’t for them having a camera around all the time and raising me in the way they did nothing that I have achieved or experienced would have ever happened.
