Meet Emily Greer

We recently connected with Emily Greer and have shared our conversation below.

Emily, we’ve been so fortunate to work with so many incredible folks and one common thread we have seen is that those who have built amazing lives for themselves are also often the folks who are most generous. Where do you think your generosity comes from?

Have you ever noticed how often people praise “patience”? Patience is a virtue… for those who are disconnected from gratitude. See, gratitude is a word thats thrown around as if it’s a simple idea, but I must tell you that gratitude is an action. When we are patient, we tell God “oh, okay I will wait to practice gratitude until i receive what i truly want.”… which is outrageous. Who are we to refuse to acknowledge all that God has given us?

And to show you a clear path of how this works, I too was one to practice patience. I thought I’d find happiness when I got that one more gift… that one more opportunity… that one more something that made me more valuable. For a long time, I forsook all that I had been given in the pursuit of more.

Recognizing all that we have actually grant us more. Knowing how to manage the manifestations you presently have offers the opportunity to receive. Mishandling our gifts creates less fruit to share. Like the parable of the talents.

Where does my generosity come from? From recognizing all of my sorrows are gifts. From them, I learn what it feels like to be without. I learn what coping mechanisms carry us through the storm. I learn how to share that feeling with others and both be and receive support. I am generous because others generously helped me feel seen, heard and valid in my experience of both sorrow and joy. And everything grows in value when I take the opportunity to share it.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?

In my practice, we work on spiritually getting you back to the most important parts of you. The world today does its best to distract us from being present with ourselves, and I’m here to accountability partner up with you in a journey towards true self awareness and acceptance. I offer tarot readings, astrological chart readings, human design chart readings, emotional coaching, lesson plans and other items that help you aim back to your true north.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

Recently I realized that I had been holding my core values so tightly that they felt like they multiplied and fell inward on themselves like a Julia set in complex mathematics. Thus far, Accountability, Compassion and Candor have paved the path of my journey. I’m excited to see what comes from the change to Recognition, Initiative and Forethought.

Remember, everything works like a muscle when it comes to our minds. Keep putting those reps in.

Thanks so much for sharing all these insights with us today. Before we go, is there a book that’s played in important role in your development?

Okay… so not “technically” a book but anything that comes out of Mark England’s mouth is pure gold. Linguistics frame so much of our day to day considerations and being aware of how language shapes our reality is pertinent. Mark’s linguistic workings have helped me reframe my entire mindset, and I have no doubt any who read this also will find benefit in Mark’s work. I’ve had the absolute pleasure of speaking with him directly and in that session, he granted me access to his Core Language Upgrade program, which paved the way for huge chunks of my practice to align. Sometimes, we find we are our own worst enemy. Assessing our communication with ourselves is a method which dissolves limiting beliefs and helps us flourish.
