We were lucky to catch up with Emma Lulloff recently and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Emma, thanks for sharing your insights with our community today. Part of your success, no doubt, is due to your work ethic and so we’d love if you could open up about where you got your work ethic from?

I attribute my strong work ethic to the environment I was raised in. My parents were incredibly motivated individuals who worked extremely hard for what they had, and to ensure that we not only had everything we needed but also the extra things that made our childhood special. I grew up surrounded by determined people who demonstrated the importance of perseverance, hard work, and dedication. Their example has instilled in me the understanding that true success requires effort, determination, and a commitment to not give up even when things don’t go your way. I carry these values with me in everything I do, and they continue to drive me to achieve my goals.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?

As a luxury boudoir photographer, my passion lies in creating an empowering experience for women, helping them see and celebrate their unique beauty. Boudoir photography is about so much more than just taking pictures—it’s about capturing a woman’s confidence and strength. What excites me most about this work is the transformation I see in my clients; watching them go from feeling nervous to embracing their beauty and walking away with a renewed sense of self-love is incredibly rewarding.

My brand is all about offering an exclusive, personalized experience. From the moment a client steps into my studio, I strive to create a comfortable, luxurious environment where they can relax and truly be themselves. I believe every woman deserves to feel beautiful, and my goal is to ensure that each client leaves not only with stunning images but also with a lasting sense of confidence.

As for what’s new, I’m excited to share that I’ve been expanding my offerings to include even more luxury products and collections, designed to give my clients a truly unforgettable experience. Whether it’s a beautifully crafted album or our same-day reveal session, every aspect of my service is tailored to celebrate and honor each woman’s unique journey.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

Looking back, three key qualities that have been most impactful in my journey are determination, staying true to myself, and understanding true client connections.

Determination: Success isn’t a straight path, and determination has helped me push through challenges. For those starting out, don’t let setbacks stop you, look at them as opportunities to learn and grow.

Staying True to Myself: Throughout my journey, I’ve learned the importance of staying focused on my vision and not letting others’ opinions impact my business. It’s important to trust your gut and stay confident in your choices, even when faced with criticism. This mindset has allowed me to build a business that reflects my values and passion.

Client Connection: Boudoir photography is deeply personal. Making clients feel comfortable and confident is essential. If you’re starting out, focus on building strong interpersonal skills—listen, empathize, and connect.

My biggest piece of advice would be to not let others opinions of you or your business ruin what you have going!

How can folks who want to work with you connect?

Absolutely, I’m always excited to collaborate with female-owned businesses and those targeting women. I love creating opportunities to support and uplift other female entrepreneurs. Whether it’s offering discounts to clients of female-owned businesses or teaming up with someone like a tattoo artist to feature their artwork (their tattoos!) inside of my artwork (boudoir photos!), I’m always open to explore and see how we can work together.
