Meet Emma Seo

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Emma Seo. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Emma below.

Hi Emma, you’ve got such an interesting story, but before we jump into that, let’s first talk about a topic near and dear to us – generosity. We think success, happiness and wellbeing depends on authentic generosity and empathy and so we’d love to hear about how you become such a generous person – where do you think your generosity comes from?
My parents have always embraced open-mindedness, and it was under their guidance that I learned to be accountable for my choices from an early age. This instilled in me a spirit of
generosity and kindness, especially towards my guests. I understand that I must shoulder the
consequences of my actions, and this perspective ensures that I treat everyone with respect and
kindness. This is particularly evident in my interactions with my long-term customers, whose
frequent visits are much appreciated.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
I’m delighted to have the opportunity to introduce Korean and Japanese style of lash lift to the U.S. market. After launching my business in Los Angeles, I’ve expanded to Las Vegas, where
the unique style of lash lift I offer may be a novel experience for many. Whenever I inform my
clients that I can design their lashes to their preference, their surprise is quickly replaced by
admiration for my expertise. Witnessing such reactions brings me immense satisfaction and
validates my efforts.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
A keen eye for detail and constant self-evaluation are crucial aspects of my work. Given the variety of eye shapes and eyebrow lengths, it’s essential to be familiar with every possible
scenario and never overlook any detail, no matter how minute. Maintaining a mindset of
continuous learning is paramount in this profession.

What was the most impactful thing your parents did for you?
Interestingly, my original field of study was English literature, and my parents had envisioned a teaching career for me. When I expressed my desire to transition into the beauty industry after a
successful stint with teaching, they were initially taken aback. However, they provided
unwavering support during my training, enabling me to acquire skills from an excellent mentor.
Today, I am successfully introducing these techniques to the United States, and I owe this
achievement to my parents’ support. Without them, I wouldn’t have embarked on this exciting
career path.
