Meet Emmanuel Alabi

We were lucky to catch up with Emmanuel Alabi recently and have shared our conversation below.

Emmanuel , so great to have you with us and we want to jump right into a really important question. In recent years, it’s become so clear that we’re living through a time where so many folks are lacking self-confidence and self-esteem. So, we’d love to hear about your journey and how you developed your self-confidence and self-esteem.

Consistency, Discipline and Patience. A while ago my Mom shared a video with me that showed the 6 principles of success. Those 3 principles , consistency, discipline and patience, have help me develop confidence and a stronger self esteem. Doing something consistently allows you to work on that craft and improve yourself. Over time it becomes a habit and you become confident in your abilities. However in order to reach that point patience and discipline must be applied.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?

I am a digital creator and a fashion designer. I am the mind behind Flego, my clothing brand focused on encouraging people to use their passion to light their path on the way to achieving their goals. I also draw a goat character by the name of ‘Manchel’. He is a reflection of myself. Manchel and Flego are one and the same, Manchel created Flego and Flego fuels Manchel. In years to come it will make more sense.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

I believe the 3 most impactful things I learned on my journey is that

1. Comparison is the thief of joy
2. Consistency is more important than intensity
3. Your journey is a marathon not a race

These 3 things have helped reshape my mind, sharpen my focus and generate real results in my life. However, like the late great Kobe Bryant said, the job is not finished! Having that understanding is the first big step towards progress.

Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?

I would love to collaborate with up and coming video creators, animators or photographers looking to try something new or relatively fresh. I believe those roles are under appreciated because the face in front of the camera or name associated with what is being created, receives more credit. I would love to show those folk some love and go up with them!
