We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Emmanuel Rodriguez a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Emmanuel , we’re thrilled to have you sharing your thoughts and lessons with our community. So, for folks who are at a stage in their life or career where they are trying to be more resilient, can you share where you get your resilience from?
Awareness that whatever journey I choose to embark on will have its own unique struggles.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
I am an a model and an actor but as of 2 years ago I was just a regular diesel technician with a gut, but ever since I was young I always dreamed of being admired in style and performing the impossible and that led me from being an overweight diesel technician in Orlando, fl to lean not so mean machine in Miami walking the runway for prestigious shows that have also led me into New York fashion week. As of now I’m trying to expand my acting skills not just with acting schools but also performing stunts and many other such as martial arts and more to come.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Self awareness
Emotional discipline
Adaptability
In order to develop these skills you have to let go and be open. It won’t work unless you do

As we end our chat, is there a book you can leave people with that’s been meaningful to you and your development?
The laws of thinking by E. Bernard Jordan.
It taught me that Consistency is,essential.
Jordan says that consistent focus and action are key. It’s not about occasional bursts; it’s about doing the little things every day, staying disciplined, renewing your mind regularly, walking in the laws even when you don’t fully “feel like it.
