Meet Emony Collins

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Emony Collins a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Emony , thank you so much for joining us. You are such a positive person and it’s something we really admire and so we wanted to start by asking you where you think your optimism comes from?

My optimism is a gift from God, a blessing that fuels my inner drive and guides me through life’s challenges. With faith as my foundation, I’m able to navigate obstacles with hope trusting that God’s plan is always greater than mine. It’s a constant reminder of God’s love and presence in my life. Through prayer, self-reflection, and growth, I’ve come to understand that my optimism is a reflection of God’s goodness and grace. I’m learning to stay positive, focused, and committed to my goals. It’s a gift I cherish every day, a choice to trust in His plan and embrace hope, joy, and resilience, no matter what life brings.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?

I’m a 19-year-old model with a heart full of hope and a passion for spreading positivity and inspiration. Whether through my work or everyday life, I believe that anything is possible with hard work & dedication.
Becoming a model has been one of the best decisions I’ve made, as it’s shown me a new perspective on my body and helped me embrace my slender figure as a unique asset. I’ve learned that beauty comes in all shapes and sizes, and I’m grateful to be part of an industry that celebrates that individuality.
As I continue to grow in my modeling career, I have several exciting photoshoots and fashion shows coming up. I’m excited to share those experiences with you through my new YouTube channel, where I’ll be filming behind-the-scenes moments, day-to-day life as a model, and more!
When I’m not modeling, you can find me cherishing every moment with my loved ones and enjoying quality time with my family. I’m excited to see where my journey takes me and hope to continue inspiring others to love themselves and chase their dreams.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

Number 1 is self confidence. Embracing your look, personality & being comfortable in your own skin. Focus on self-care & self-love . Practice positive affirmations, surround yourself with supportive people who uplift & encourage you.
Number 2 is Resilience. coping with rejection, criticism and setbacks while maintaining a positive attitude and perseverance. Keep a growth mindset learn from your failures and focus on progress rather than perfection
Number 3 is Authenticity. Staying true to yourself your values & your passions while navigating the demands of the modeling industry. For those early in their journey like me I would say surround yourself with supportive people
Get your face out there go to modeling events, and networking opportunities that is given in your city
Create content: take pictures/videos, and engage on social media. Get your face out there connect with as many people as possible. Research at any given chance you get. Remember, success in modeling requires dedication, hard work, and a willingness to learn and grow. Focus on developing these key qualities, and you’ll be well on your way to achieving your goal.

Before we go, maybe you can tell us a bit about your parents and what you feel was the most impactful thing they did for you?

The most impactful thing my parents did for me was to provide unconditional love, support, and encouragement. They’ve always believed in me and pushed me to pursue my passions, even when faced with challenges and doubts. Their guidance and wisdom have helped shape me into the person I am today, and I’m forever grateful for their influence in my life. I’ll always remember, the love and support of family is powerful for success. It’s great that i have such a strong support system behind me & my modeling career and other endeavors!
