Meet Enma Popli

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Enma Popli. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Enma, so good to have you with us today. We’ve always been impressed with folks who have a very clear sense of purpose and so maybe we can jump right in and talk about how you found your purpose?

Through my growing-up years, we never knew or felt there was a bias between girls and boys. We just took it for what it was. However, as I grew older, travelled the world and became more aware, the biases became visible. I realized an unspoken, unsaid code existed, and by default women followed it and adapted to it in different ways depending on their upbringing, environment, and circumstances.
My journey began in learning and development, where I quickly discovered that I drew energy from helping others succeed. Over the years, I have worn many hats: HR Professional, Corporate Trainer, Entrepreneur, Consultant, Mentor, Executive Coach, and now Podcast Host.
Living and traveling across different geographies gave me a wealth of unique experiences, each contributing to life lessons that enriched my perspective and broadened my outlook. Along the way, I met many trailblazing women, these women had seen the “unwritten code”, deciphered it, defied it, or adapted to it—but they had gone past it.
Through numerous coaching conversations, particularly with women, I gained a deeper understanding of their challenges—their efforts to secure a seat at the table, build influence, and make their voices heard and one thing stood out: the lack of role models for these women.
I had to, provide these women with a safe space to reframe perspectives and address the lack of role models.
And it wasn’t enough to help women navigate the path as it exists; it was crucial to redefine this “unwritten” code to enable a more equal world.
Through coaching and mentoring conversations, I help women navigate their journeys with clarity and confidence. Beyond my coaching work, I am also committed to amplifying the voices of trailblazing women from around the world through my podcast, Atalanta Diaries. These women have defied biases, championed their causes, and claimed their rightful place at the table, inspiring others to do the same.
What began as an organic journey has now become my purpose—an obsession. I am on a mission to empower women to carve their own path and truly thrive.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

I am an executive coach, an entrepreneur and advocate for gender equity.
During my travels, I found inspiration in the Japanese symbol – “Enso”, a circular brushstroke that embodies holistic growth and the essence of one’s authentic self. It symbolized to me the journey of continuous learning , a value that has shaped my growth both personally and professionally.
I work with women executives to inspire, motivate, and empower them, enabling them to courageously embark on transformative journeys while retaining their authentic selves.
Through my platform, Atalanta Diaries, I spotlight incredible women from diverse fields and geographies to inspire women aspiring as they find their North Star. We recently celebrated two years of the podcast, having featured over 75 trailblazing women, and this milestone reminds me of the power of shared experiences.
What I love about my work is the opportunity to create spaces for meaningful conversations and witness the impact I am able to make firsthand.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

This is something many of my clients say about me.
I bring to my work active listening and presence, empathy, and the ability to inspire growth.
I am able to be fully present, creating a safe, judgment-free space for my clients to reflect, so that they can explore different perspectives. Even when I interview my guests, it feels like a coaching conversation because I allow them that space to reflect and share their journey. I am in no rush and don’t control the agenda.
Empathy helps me connect deeply—not only with my clients but also with the underlying challenge—enabling a more holistic understanding.
My focus on nurturing growth, whether by urging reflection, introducing different tools encouraging self-awareness, ensures that clients leave with actionable insights for both personal and professional development.

Do you think it’s better to go all in on our strengths or to try to be more well-rounded by investing effort on improving areas you aren’t as strong in?

I believe it’s important to strike a balance between leveraging our strengths and working on areas for improvement.
While focusing on strengths allows us to perform effortlessly and excel, investing effort in areas where we’re less confident reflects a learner’s mindset—critical in today’s fast-paced world where change is perhaps the only constant and we risk becoming outdated far too quickly.
I’ve seen this balance in many of my clients, who set learning calendars and dedicate time to reading meaningful books.
This infact reminds me of the book The Success Factor by Ruth Gotian, which highlights research among high achievers, showing how constantly learning is a key success factor. Similarly, from the 75+ conversations I’ve had on my podcast, a recurring theme among successful women leaders is their learner’s mindset—recognizing they don’t know it all and actively working to grow.
