Meet Enoel Harrington

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Enoel Harrington. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Enoel below.

Enoel, thanks so much for taking the time to share your insights and lessons with us today. We’re particularly interested in hearing about how you became such a resilient person. Where do you get your resilience from?
I get my resilience from all of my life experiences, including being a survivor of domestic violence, a teenage mother, a high school, dropout, latchkey kid, and a person struggling with obesity.. Quitting is not an option and I watched my mother work hard and never give up. I always look at the overall picture of whatever situation I am in and I go to God to seek answers. It hasn’t always been that way, but that is where I am with it today.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
I am a social worker true to heart. I love being the one that helps someone to achieve their goals, have a mental/emotional break through, and regain their confidence in who they are and what they want in life. My specific goals are to eventually open my own Counseling practice and use my E&E Senior Services Business to assist seniors with finding appropriate long term care placement.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Listening, examining the overall picture, and being open to constructive criticism are my top 3 qualities.

My advice to others would be always remain open to where your blessings come from. Do not allow an age, race, socioeconomic background or financial status block you from hearing people for who they truly are and how they can contribute to your growth and success.

One of our goals is to help like-minded folks with similar goals connect and so before we go we want to ask if you are looking to partner or collab with others – and if so, what would make the ideal collaborator or partner?
I am looking for individuals that can assist in getting my senior business on track since relocating to Georgia, including resources, partnering agencies (SNF’s, ALF’s, Group Homes, PCH’s, Home Health agencies etc) and/or financial support.
