We recently connected with Ensley Smith and have shared our conversation below.
Ensley , so great to have you with us and we want to jump right into a really important question. In recent years, it’s become so clear that we’re living through a time where so many folks are lacking self-confidence and self-esteem. So, we’d love to hear about your journey and how you developed your self-confidence and self-esteem.
People think confidence comes naturally, but honestly, it’s something you have to choose and work on every single day.
I stay grounded by reminding myself that my value isn’t based on how I look , how many likes I get, or what opportunities I do or don’t have at the moment . My confidence comes from knowing who I am outside of social media and trying to stay aligned with who the Lord has called me to be
I pour into myself with small, consistent habits:
• Taking care of my skin and body
• Setting real boundaries
• Celebrating my progress instead of comparing it to others
• Reminding myself that my uniqueness is literally my brand
• Letting myself know that I’m the star of my Own show .
• Surrounding myself with people who have the same values, morals or just are on a path to better them selves
I also give myself grace. Life can be mentally draining at times so I check in with myself. If I’m not feeling 100%, I allow myself to step back, recharge, and come back stronger. Confidence for me is a practice and understanding its not always about your looks .
At the end of the day, I remind myself that no one can be me, and that’s my biggest advantage.
Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
As a person, I’m someone who’s always evolving, always learning, and always trying to step into a better version of myself. I’m naturally creative, expressive, and driven, but I’m also someone who’s had to build my confidence through experience, not assumptions. I care a lot about growth—emotionally, creatively, and professionally—and that shows up in the way I approach everything I do.
My story really started when I got into fashion, beauty, and lifestyle content creation a couple of years ago. At first, it was just something I loved doing, but over time it became a part of my identity. Creating gave me a voice. It gave me a way to express myself, to tell stories, and to show people the kind of woman I’m becoming. But it also challenged me. I reached a point where things felt too comfortable, and instead of staying there, I pushed myself into UGC, creative direction, and striving to reach higher heights.
This past year especially has been a turning point. I had moments where I felt stuck, unsure of my next step, or questioning whether I’m where I’m supposed to be at this age. But those moments taught me resilience & strengthened my faith . They taught me that confidence isn’t something you magically have—it’s something you gain by showing up for yourself every day. I learned to trust my timing, set boundaries, and keep moving even when the roads seem unclear
Right now, I’m focused on leveling up in every way:
• Growing as a creator with more intentional, high-quality content
• Building my personal brand and working with larger businesses
• Stepping deeper into creative direction and storytelling
• Positioning myself for bigger collaborations, PR trips, and brand opportunities
• And most importantly, continuing my personal growth—emotionally, spiritually, and mentally
I’m in a season where I’m not just creating content; I’m creating my future. I’m stepping into the version of myself I’ve been working toward, one move at a time. And I’m excited, because everything I’m building now is aligned with who I truly am and who I’m becoming.
Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Discipline Discernment
Consistency
One of our goals is to help like-minded folks with similar goals connect and so before we go we want to ask if you are looking to partner or collab with others – and if so, what would make the ideal collaborator or partner?
Yes, absolutely. I’m always open to partnering with people and brands who align with purpose, creativity, and authenticity. I love working with individuals and companies that value clean, honest content and who want to create work that actually inspires & makes people feel good .
I’m especially looking to collaborate with
• Fashion, beauty, and lifestyle brands that match my warm, minimal, aesthetically pleasing style
• Brands looking for UGC, creative direction, or someone who can bring a polished, relatable on-camera presence
• Entrepreneurs and creatives
