Meet Ephraim Riggins

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Ephraim Riggins. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Ephraim, so great to be with you and I think a lot of folks are going to benefit from hearing your story and lessons and wisdom. Imposter Syndrome is something that we know how words to describe, but it’s something that has held people back forever and so we’re really interested to hear about your story and how you overcame imposter syndrome.
In my room, I decorate my walls with places that I’ve been and things that I have achieved. Quotes, notes and pictures. It’s a constant reminder that I’m not just doing nothing or that I’m really who I am; that I have lived and am still alive. We leave records of our lives in small things like fliers or lanyards, or that one ticket we bought to an epic show. Those things became a way to document my history and my journey. In this world of “what have you done for me lately” and instant gratification, it’s essential to not let yourself get swept away by tomorrow. Inevitably, tomorrow will become yesterday. Those physical reminders connect my past to my present and inform my future destination.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
Peace to all! Artistically, I am IntricateTheAlmighty but around the way you can call me Ephraim. I have taken part in many different creative ventures but my main discipline is Wordsmithing (poetry/emceeing). My vision and purpose for my creativity is to put fire in the people that I come across. I want to be a beacon and example for people to do anything they feel they want to do in this life. This is the mission of my business, For The World LLC. Currently I am focusing my efforts in creative writing workshopping for children but I have product available on teespring. I’m on all streaming platforms (search: IntricateTheAlmighty) and have a few projects in the works including my main solo projects, Prepare For Voyage and Voyage. Also working with a Ukrainian producer on an EP, so stay tuned with me!

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Three qualities that help me on my journey are resilience, patience, and openness.

Resilience; the ability to be unshakable on your path no matter how many times you’re denied or “fail”. No matter who sees value in what you’re doing, remember your purpose and remain rooted within that.

Patience; the ability to remain steady and wait. You are on nobody’s timeline except your own. Every day is a test of faith. It’s a question that asks you “how bad do you want it?” Or “how much do you believe in yourself?” Is it worth the price of time?

Openness; the ability to remain flexible in your perspective. How to take insight from everything that you perceive as good or negative. This quality also informs evolution in your craft. There is no real peak or prime other than where you decide to stop growing. Give yourself to the possibility of learning more, doing it better, redefining “you” through experiencing life outside of your norm.

Alright, so before we go we want to ask you to take a moment to reflect and share what you think you would do if you somehow knew you only had a decade of life left?
It’s more of a spiritual question: when is the Higher Power asking you to let go for something greater? I’m in a place in my life where I feel like I have to make a radical change to really step into my purpose. It’s just really feeling like when is when? Things feel unfinished or like they are just beginning to really see fruition. At the same time, it feels as though I’m being asked to leave comfort.
