There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Three essential qualities that I believe are vital to a meaningful and successful life are honesty, supportiveness, and understanding. These values have played a significant role in shaping who I am and where I am today. When combined with authenticity—being true not only to others but also to yourself—they form a strong foundation for personal growth and lasting impact. Living by these principles can take you far in both life and leadership.
Any advice for folks feeling overwhelmed?
Self-care is something I take seriously, and I’ve developed several practices that help me stay balanced and grounded. I regularly get massages to alleviate stress and tension, and I’m intentional about limiting my exposure to news when it becomes emotionally draining. These choices help me protect my mental and emotional well-being. However, the self-care activity that brings me the most joy and restoration is traveling. There’s something transformative about stepping away from everyday routines to explore new environments. Travel allows me to reset, recharge, and return to my responsibilities with renewed energy and perspective. It’s not just a luxury—it’s a necessity in my self-care toolkit. These are just a few things I do when feeling overwhelmed.
