Meet Eric Rush

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Eric Rush a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Eric , so great to have you with us and we want to jump right into a really important question. In recent years, it’s become so clear that we’re living through a time where so many folks are lacking self-confidence and self-esteem. So, we’d love to hear about your journey and how you developed your self-confidence and self-esteem.

I didn’t start out with confidence or a clear path forward. My story began in survival mode—facing the challenges of a turbulent childhood, the intensity of combat, and even time in prison. For a long time, I lived without purpose, struggling to make sense of the adversity I was dealt. But everything changed the moment I realized my way of living wasn’t working. I needed to find something more—a true sense of purpose. I looked to people who embodied spiritual richness and authentic success, hoping to understand the strength they carried.

Through honesty and purpose-driven action, I reclaimed my life, earned multiple degrees, and channeled my experiences into founding Prime Pitch Podcast Network Inc. Just as I learned to turn my pain into purpose, I wanted Prime Pitch to be a place where brands could do the same—to take their unique stories and let them rise above the noise.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?

I’m Eric Rush, proud community member of Frisco, founder and CEO of Prime Pitch Podcast Network Inc., and honestly, my journey here has been a bit of a wild ride. My life wasn’t easy—far from it. I grew up in a tough environment, faced the challenges of combat, and even spent time in prison. Eventually, I hit a wall where I realized that the way I was living just wasn’t working anymore. I needed something more, something real. So, I started seeking out people who seemed to have this deep, spiritual strength—people who had found meaning in their lives. I wanted to learn from them and, maybe, find that for myself.

Through that process, I started to own my story, every part of it. I went back to school, earned a few degrees, and found a new purpose. That’s what led me to create Prime Pitch Podcast Network Inc. For me, Prime Pitch is more than a business—it’s a space where real, unfiltered stories come to life. I believe that true, raw stories have the power to connect and transform, and that’s exactly what we aim to do. We’re not just making podcasts; we’re giving people a platform where their voices can be heard, where their experiences can truly resonate.

What really excites me about curating and hosting podcasts is the chance to bring these powerful stories into the light. Every time we sit down to record, there’s this rush of knowing we’re capturing something real and meaningful—something that people can connect with on a personal level. For me, it’s about helping voices that might not otherwise be heard reach people who need to hear them. And that’s what makes it all worth it.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

Looking back, there are three things that really shaped my journey: resilience, storytelling, and the power of connecting through technology. Each of these was key for me, both in my personal growth and in building Prime Pitch Podcast Network Inc.

First, resilience. I earned two Bronze Stars during my time in the military, and that experience taught me that resilience isn’t just about grit; it’s about finding a way forward even when the path is tough.

Life threw a lot at me, but those challenges also prepared me for everything that came next. My advice? Embrace the tough moments—they’ll teach you more than any easy success ever could.

The second quality that made a difference for me was storytelling. I pursued an Associate’s and Bachelor’s in Digital Video Production and Film, which gave me a strong foundation in how to tell a story that resonates. I learned how to capture the heart of an experience, to create something meaningful and real.

For those starting out, I’d say: learn the art of storytelling. Whether it’s film, writing, or another medium, knowing how to tell a story is one of the most powerful skills you can have.

Finally, connecting through technology has been huge for me. I went on to earn a second Bachelor’s in Interactive & Virtual Communications and a Master’s in Learning Technologies and Communications from the University of North Texas. This knowledge has been invaluable for understanding how to build connections and community in a digital world.

Today, technology is where most of us share, learn, and connect with others. For anyone early in their journey, dive into learning about digital tools and platforms—it’s where the world is heading, and it’s a skillset that will only get more important.

If you’re just starting out, my advice is to focus on these three things: resilience, storytelling, and technology. Each one has shaped who I am and what Prime Pitch Podcast Network Inc stands for.

Embrace your journey, even the hard parts, and don’t be afraid to use what you learn along the way to create something meaningful.

Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?

Yes, I’d love to partner up and collaborate with others who believe in the power of sharing real, impactful stories.

At Prime Pitch Podcast Network Inc., we know that telling your story can be a game-changer, not just for the people listening, but for your own mental health, too.

There’s something healing about putting your experiences into words—it helps you make sense of things and even feel a little lighter. Whether you’re starting your own podcast or saying “yes” to being a guest, every chance you get to share your story is a chance to connect, process, and grow.

Being a podcaster or just sitting down to share your journey with an audience can be incredibly empowering. When you say “yes” to sharing your story, you’re not only helping yourself but also letting others know they’re not alone. I’ve seen it happen time and again—someone speaks their truth, and suddenly others feel understood, comforted, even inspired.

It’s a reminder that we’re all in this together, facing challenges, learning, and growing.

I’m looking to team up with people, brands, and organizations who are all about being real and making a genuine connection.

If you’ve got a story that feels too important not to share, let’s chat. You can reach out through the Prime Pitch Podcast Network website or just find me on LinkedIn. Let’s create something real that resonates, heals, and maybe even changes a few lives.
